2 About LIKWUID My passions are embedded in music, people and meeting spaces. All of these components combined bring individuals closer together, consequently breaking down cultural barriers, prejudice and hate. L is for Love, so I try to accomplish spreading that emotion in every DJ set, performance and event.

5 Photoville Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest Music Curation which highlighted the swing era of the 1960s and the modern swing influence of indie pop and synth jazz Music Curation which encompassed the sample driven focus of the 1990s golden era of hip hop and the original 70 s funk era tunes that inspired the movement.

6 Heights Tavern Solution: DJ RESIDENCY Talib Kweli, Nicole Albino (Nina Sky), Bobbito Garcia, Evil Dee (Black Moon), Jasmine Solano with resident DJ Likwuid live in Washington Heights for a weekly soiree. Case: Increase foot traffic with the creation of a summer series in a desolate less traveled part of Manhattan.

Case: Commercial hip hop and r&b flood the airwaves, how do we increase a soulful approach to urban music and encourage a safe space (or sanctuary) for live art.
