Students are chosen for this festival by director recommendation. There are NO auditions. This year s festival will be held at Palmer High School on the following dates at the following times: 1 st Rehearsal Wednesday, January 30, 2019 ~ 3:00 to 7:30 PM (Snow date: Thursday, January 31, 2019) 2 nd Rehearsal and Concert Saturday February 9, 2019 ~ Rehearsals 9:00 AM 2:00 PM Junior Concert Begins at 3:00 PM, Senior Concert Begins at 4:00 PM (Snow for 2 nd Rehearsal/Concert: Sunday, February 10, Times same as above). Please check the above dates for any conflicts including athletic and/or academic events. If chosen for the festival, the only excuse accepted for absence will be illness or family emergency. PLEASE HAVE THIS FORM SIGNED & RETURNED TO YOUR DIRECTOR BY JANUARY 10, STUDENT ENDORSEMENT: I understand that if selected for the QVMEA festival I will attend all rehearsals and the concert. My failure to fulfill these responsibilities may disqualify me from participation in QVMEA events for the remainder of this school year and the following academic year. Upon acceptance I understand that a $10.00 registration fee will be required. Student Signature PARENT/GUARDIAN ENDORSEMENT: As a parent or legal guardian of the above student I give my permission for her/him to be an applicant for the QVMEA music festival. I agree that my child will behave in a manner consistent with her/his school district s regulations. If she/he is accepted I will assist her/him in fulfilling all obligations of preparation and attendance. I hereby assign all rights of a videotape and sound recording made of my child to M-PACT. I authorize the reproduction, copyright, editing, broadcast and/or distribution of said videotape without limitations, for the purpose of viewing via Non-Profit Public Access Cable Television. Upon acceptance I understand that a $10.00 registration fee will be required.
