Workshops on two first days are conducted by world famous photographers Joe McNally and Roberto Valenzuela from the USA and Staffan Widstrand from Sweden. The competition entries are judged on day three , Tallinn KIMP FEST Tallinna Ülikooli Kunstide Instituut, Olesja Rotar olesjab@tlu.ee KIMP Fest is an integrated art experience presenting a selection of recently produced works by graduates of Tallinn University. During this event people walking around the Old Town can watch dance performances, enjoy art exhibitions, experience the interactive hall of creative therapies, listen to instrumental and choral music and even discover original pieces of handicraft. Their work is later displayed at an exhibition. July, Pärnu PÄRNU PRINTMAKING IN FESTIVAL MTÜ Academia Gustaviana Selts nongrata@nongrata.ee The festival interprets and seeks new developments in various cultural fields and gathers artists, writers and those involved in audiovisual arts. It takes place in urban space: workshops in the streets and a fair of alternative art Prints Gone Wild. Guests include local artists and some from the USA , Kohila 13TH KOHILA INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS SYMPOSIUM Eesti Keraamikute Liit , kohilasymposium@gmail.com The symposium gathers wellknown and young talented ceramicists and sculptors from all over the world, united by their love of wood firing. In the course of three weeks, Kohila becomes a place where various cultures of the world meet, several ceramic sculptures are created and firings take place in the anagama-type kiln the biggest in the Baltic countries. INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF HOT GLASS , Haapsalu INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF HOT GLASS 2013 Evald Okase Muuseum eo.muuseum@gmail.com The international hot glass symposium is an acclaimed professional event, organised by the glass artist Kai Koppel together with Kati Kerstna and Kairi Orgusaar. The activities centre in the open-air glassblowing studio in the courtyard of the museum of painter Evald Okas in Haapsalu. Artists of various nationalities work there for a week. Blacksmiths and woodcutters are present as well. During four days the visitors can watch how big art is born and try it themselves , Haapsalu ART FESTIVAL PIGSKIN MTÜ Loomekeskus Pigskin is an international art festival, headed by Jaan Toomik and Johannes Deimling, focusing on the urban space in Haapsalu and drawing attention to places with unique atmosphere that have been almost forgotten. The festival curator is Jaan Toomik, one of the most prominent contemporary Estonian artists. He brings the best of Estonian and world performance art to Haapsalu. These are supplemented by a diverse music, film and art programme , Pärnu ESTONIAN PORCELAIN DAYS MTÜ Rääma Noorte Ühing Noorus ja Selts Lüster, Mai Kolossova , info@noorusemaja.ee The event is meant for porcelain painters who are instructed in three groups by best professionals in the field. The public can enjoy an exhibition and simpler workshops , Varbola 17TH VARBOLA WOOD DAYS Piret Linnamägi piret.linnamagi.001@mail.ee Professional and amateur sculptors from Estonia and abroad craft sculptures on the spot. The public can purchase things they like at an auction. There is also a cultural programme , Kabala 8TH INTERNATIONAL POTATOPRINT FESTIVAL MTÜ Potatoprint printpotato@gmail.com This year s theme is Lood (in English this word can mean stories, create, water level, spirit level). Everybody, regardless of age and experience, is welcome to try potato printing. The festival introduces potato printing as a primitive and nature-friendly technique, joins people through a relaxing manual activity, and promotes potatoes as the main fare of Estonians throughout centuries. 14

We introduce the best of the art world, curators active in the international arena, and of course exhibitions of Estonian artists.
