1 Angel Blue was a revelation.. The role suited her impeccably; tall, stylish, and naturally attractive -Opera Britannia Blue is astounding to Blue is listen to. A sensational story... Her voice is going to be a big voice Melvyn Bragg "A A very big talent...she has killer high notes and killer theatrical instincts!" One of the outstanding voic- One of the es of her generation... A beacon of un- trammelled, shining soprano beauty... Everything she sings is a joy to hear..has it all: beauty, grace, dynamic stage presence and a gorgeous,, creamy soprano that remains crystal-clear clear across its range. I confess to being utterly captivated by this evocatively-named singer. Angel Blue Gave me goosebumps,, literally" - San Francisco Opera Examiner American soprano Angel Blue has all the vocal flexibility and lush tones - Now she s taking the UK by storm She s sultry, dramatic and spine-tingling...breaking down the Barriers the beauty queen with a voice of an angel Angel Blue sings with a big silvery soprano
2 From Beauty Queen to Opera Star Angel Blue s story is extraordinary. The acclaimed and statuesque American soprano is a former model and beauty queen who now shares the stage with music icons across all genres. These include classical legends Placido Domingo, Zubin Mehta and Simon Rattle, film icon Hans Zimmer and Grammy award winning hit man David Foster. This autumn will also see Angel in the starring role of Mimi in the English National Opera s La Boheme. Angel s unique story has also just been captured by Melvyn Bragg for a South Bank Show TV special. Standing at 5ft 11, Angel subsidised her early music career by modelling. She became Miss Hollywood 2005, Miss Southern California 2006 and Miss Las Vegas Inspired by her father, the renowned gospel singer Sylvester Blue, Angel s ambition was always to become an opera singer. However, her unique vocal ability has led her to be able to sing and perform across all music genres. As well as in top international opera houses and classical concert halls, Angel has also performed with contemporary music legends including Chaka Khan and Donna Summer. Additionally, being half Jewish and half Christian, Angel sees no barriers in her pursuit to cross all musical and cultural frontiers. with Melvyn Bragg with Placido Domingo with Zubin Mehta and Hans Zimmer Awards: Angel received a Masters of Music degree in Opera Performance from UCLA, a Bachelors of Music from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California, and is alumni to the Los Angeles County High school for the Arts where she studied opera, gospel singing, theatrical acting, and classical piano. Angel is a former member of the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at Los Angeles Opera and the Artistas de la Academia "Placido Domingo" del Palau de les Arts. She has also received awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Regional Auditions, A.E.I.O.U Italian Educators Vocal Competition and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's Emerging Young Entertainers Award.

5 Angel Blue Joy Alone Opus Arte ***** This album establishes both Angel Blue s exceptional competence and her confidence as a mature, assure singer. She tackles well-established material by such luminaries as Richard Strauss and Rachmaninov, as well as zarzuela arias by Pablo Luna and Ruperto Chapi, and gives a ravishing account of Gershwin s Summertime. What versatility! She throws herself with enthusiasm into every piece, and this really is an outstanding debut disc; a visiting card that tells us a major new artist has arrived. - David Mellor, The Mail on Sunday
