2 Marc. Haso is Proessor and Director o Choral ctivities at Whitworth University in Sokane, Washington. He attended Paciic Lutheran University, the University o rizona and Michigan State University, where he earned B.., M.M., and D.M.. degrees in music education and choral conducting. Haso has gained erience at all levels o choral music education through elementary, secondary and university teaching ositions in the United States and Canada. He came to Whitworth rom ugustana University in lberta where he taught or sixteen years and directed a nationally recognized choral rogram. Haso is the reciient o numerous honors and awards recognizing his teaching, creative work, service and conducting including ugustana s Betty Ostenrud ward, a Paciic Lutheran Centennial lumni Recognition ward, a Government o lberta chievement ward, an lberta Choral Federation Con Sirito ward, the 1994 Sir Ernest MacMillan Memorial Prize in Conducting rom the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Foundation and major grants rom The Canada Council and the lberta Heritage Scholarshi Fund. In Canada, Haso served regional and national choral communitites as an active member o the boards o lberta Choral Federation and the ssociation o Canadian Choral Conductors. He also served as music director and resource erson or national worshi events o the Lutheran Church (ELCIC). Currently, he is President o the Washington State chater o the merican Choral Directors ssociation. Haso is active in the US and Canada as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. He is the alwaysroud arent to three daughters and a son. ter a number o years as Proessor o Choral Music and Conductor o the Chamber Choir at Florida State University, Rodney Eichenberger has reduced his teaching resonsibilities there, but maintains a busy roessional schedule elsewhere. He has conducted more than 75 US ll State Choirs and guest conducted or lectured at more than 80 US, ustralian, and New Zealand Universities. Recent international aearances include guest conducting the Pusan, Korea City Choir and Korean National Chorus in Seoul, International High School Honor Choirs in Tokyo and Berlin, and leading conducting workshos in rgentina, Brazil, France, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, ustria, Korea, ustralia, and New Zealand. His instructional videos on Choral Conducting, What They See Is What You Get and Enhancing Musicality Through Movement are widely used in collegiate conducting classes. graduate o St. Ola College with advanced study at the Universities o Denver, Washington, and Iowa, he taught at the University o Washington and the University o Southern Caliornia rior to his aointment at Florida State University.
