The orchestra is accompanied by two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone and two ballet dancers wearing historic costumes. At, a place rich in tradition, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna and the Schoenbrunn Palace Ensemble Vienna present the most beautiful melodies created by two of the greatest composers of all times: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART AND JOHANN STRAUSS In the first part, you will enjoy some of the most enchanting overtures, arias and duets from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro, The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni among others. SCHOENBRUNN PALACE ORANGERY IN VIENNA provides the perfect setting for our Palace Concerts. Ever since the heydey of the Habsburg dynasty, the Orangery has always been a center of artistic activity and festivities. During one of these events, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri had their famous musical competition, considered unique in music history. Note: On selected days, concerts may take place in the Great Gallery or the White Gold Room located inside Schoenbrunn Palace, at the Schoenbrunn Palace Theater or in other concert halls in Vienna. DATES Concerts take place daily year-round. Admission from 8:00 p.m., concerts start at 8:30 p.m. Concerts end at approximately 10:15 p.m. including a 15 to 20-minute intermission. On December 24, the concert starts at 3:00 p.m., on December 31, it starts at 7:00 p.m. and on January 1, there are two New Year s Day concerts (4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.).
