1 East Coast Bus Offers Cultural Events The Saltire Ceilidh Fri 25th November Set in the gorgeous surroundings of Archerfield Walled Garden, this is a fun family Scottish ceilidh with the 'Smoking Barrel Ceilidh Band', accompanied by a locally sourced Scottish supper. The event is hosted by comedian The Big Yin Revisited, "the most committed and accurate comedy tribute impressionist I have ever seen" (The Stage) and headlined by Simple Minded, the most authentic sounding Simple Minds tribute band in the world "They're sounding good to me! (Jim Kerr)! All this and the best line up from Scottish tribute acts and local bands. Also on the bill are local band Haylee G and Devils in Skirts and solo performer Louis Robertson, a 16 year old indie/rock singer songwriter from Prestonpans, performing Scottish material from artists such as Paulo Nutini. 2 Treacherous Orchestra comprises some of Scotland's finest instrumentalists including past and present members of Salsa Celtica, Peatbog Faeries, Old Blind Dogs, Session A9 and Box Club. Their astounding musicianship combines with ferocious energy and sophisticated musical arrangements for explosive results. They have rightly earned a fearsome reputation as an incendiary live act. Hosted by comedian/actor/broadcaster, JoJo Sutherland, there will be performances from Paolo Martini, the UK's First Paolo Nutini Tribute Act followed by comedy acts including Stu & Gary, Scott Gibson, Gareth Waugh & Mark Nelson and our headline act Fred MacAulay. 3 The day includes music from Haddington Pipe Bands; Sonorous, a group of versatile Longniddry-based teenagers who fuse traditional Scottish folk tunes with a modern twist; Baron Salmon, an Alt-Folk singer from Tranent, known for his guitar playing which allows for melodic and chordal accompaniment; and the North Berwick Mini Pipe Band. 4 Saltire Masterchef Sun 27th Nov Would you like to broaden your skills and culinary repertorie? Then why not book yourself onto a half day cookery course at Colstoun Cookery School to create your own Scottish themed menu. Whether you're a complete beginner or competent cook, either way you will enjoy a fun and enjoyable experience preparing and cooking a delicious menu using the finest ingredients to celebrate St. Andrew's Day.
