Features extended solo sections, a call and response section between the horns and guitarist, and advanced rhythm section concepts. Drive, 2008 A driving piece with a mix of rock and afro-cuban rhythms. Features trombone, trumpet and sax soloists, as well as the drummer. Heist Flick, 2007 A hip-hop feel with advanced level horn lines.

Dave Holland Does it Like This, 2006 An advanced level arrangement featuring odd-meter passages and numerous changes in underlying groove. Inspire by the recordings of the Dave Holland Big Band. Guru Talk, 2006 A moody, modal composition written for my musical mentor, Shelly Berg. Featuring extended modal soloing opportunities as well as an odd-meter gospel shout section. Anytime Girl, 2006 Ann odd-meter arrangement featuring contrapuntal figures and extended modal improvisation. Schitzodelphia, 2005 A very fast, advanced level swing arrangement. This feature intricate melodic lines in the saxes and trombones, as well as extended solos for saxes and the drummer. Norton & Company, 2008 Review of textbook A Rock Reader for Kendall/Hunt Publishing, 2008 Contributing organizer for the Austin Live Music Academy (ALMA), a joint academic endeavor between the school of music and the local music community. ALMA is a popular music certificate program designed for high school graduates whose musical skills/backgrounds would not be appropriate for a standard collegiate music program. Activities included starting a public awareness campaign, compiling applications, fielding numerous inquiries about the program, setting up the curriculum, choosing instructors and picking students from the pool of applicants, 2007-present Review of textbook prospectus What Comes Next?
