MORE INFORMATION Auditions are open to all high school seniors who attend CHICC. Students planning to be music majors should prepare two songs from memory one English and one Italian art song. An accompanist will be provided. Additional information is available at undergrad/audition/voice.

15 STUDENT SELECTION PROCESS Each school is invited to bring two or three SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) quartets to participate in the honor choir. This will help to ensure two balanced ensembles. Students should display exemplary rehearsal behavior. If possible, priority should be given to students who will continue to sing in college. Please limit selection to those students who work hard in rehearsal. If you have a need to bring a group that is not balanced with voice parts, permission must be sought from Dr. Beeken (ryan.beeken@iup.edu). FAQ HOW SHOULD STUDENTS DRESS? School-appropriate clothing should be worn for all rehearsals, and the CHICC T-shirt and jeans or khakis should be worn for the concert (no shorts for performance). WHAT IF THEY NEED TO BE LATE/LEAVE EARLY? To help make CHICC a successful conference, any deviation from the schedule must be cleared with Dr. Beeken. It is important that all conference attendees assist productivity by being present and keeping distractions at a minimum. Please consult with the clinicians before allowing any student to arrive late or depart early from any rehearsal or event. WHERE IS PARKING? Parking passes will be available before CHICC.
