This leaflet includes details of First Cymru local bus services in the Swansea Valley area from 5th April Our guide will help you plan your next bus journey. Inside you can find: The times we operate these services. Information on the tickets we have on offer. Contact details for timetable enquiries and customer service. Changes to services in this edition include: As part of our ongoing effort to simplify service numbers and make our network easier to understand, the current range of six services is being consolidated into three. Changes are listed below according to their existing service numbers Services 120, 121, 125, X20 and X21: These services are renumbered as follows: (Cymru Clipper) Ystradgynlais - Pontardawe - Clydach - Morriston - Swansea (Cymru Clipper) Alltycham - Pontardawe - Clydach - Morriston - Swansea Craig Cefn Parc - Clydach - Morriston - Swansea There is a major revision to the timetable, and customers are advised to check carefully when planning their journey. The new timetable is designed to ensure that journeys on services, and are more evenly spaced compared with the current timetable. The Alltycham area of Pontardawe will see a frequency enhancement, and service will provide an hourly bus service during the daytime Mondays to Saturdays. Additionally, a new direct link will be provided from Alltycham to Clydach, Morriston and Swansea. Services and are designated as Cymru Clipper services, and buses on these routes have recently benefited from an internal refurbishment (including the provision of leather seats). Service 148 This service is withdrawn but incorporated into new service. Service 132: Neath to Pontardawe Service X22: Neath to Pontardawe These services are renumbered, with no change to the daytime route or timetable. Following reduction in the level of financial support provided by the local authority, evening services on this route (currently numbered X22) are reduced. First Cymru are stepping in to continue some journeys commercially (i.e. without any form of subsidy payment) on a trial basis their long term future depends entirely on the level of usage in the weeks and months ahead. The following journeys will continue to operate: 1745 Pontardawe to Neath 1810 Neath to Pontardawe 1840 Pontardawe to Neath 1905 Neath to Pontardawe 1940 Pontardawe to Neath Regrettably, later journeys will be withdrawn as the low passenger numbers carried means they cannot be operated commercially. As well as Singles and Returns, we have tickets offering unlimited travel such as FirstDay, FirstWeek, FirstMonth and FirstYear.
