Pformance Suggestions Your hymn arrangement is designed to be vy flexible in accommodating many diffent instruments. Along with stard brass quartet/quintet timpani parts you will also find parts written for duet /or trio instruments. The uet parts are intchangeable between diffent instruments so that if you have a trumpet, alto sax trombone (or any or combination), each instrument may use its own part, you can have m altnate between 1 st, 2 nd descant parts. You may want to use parts for first vse, solo or unison melody with diffent instruments on various middle vses, n parts with descant on final vse. It s your choice depending on your needs abilities of your musicians. The brass arrangement will work as a trio, quartet, quintet, large brass choir or en a b of mixed brass, wind string instruments. All parts are marked with doublings substitutions, pformance suggestions are listed on bottom of page. You may want to begin hymn with a brass introduction eir entire vse, or a portion of it n have m play with congregation for 1 st vse; second vse can be accompanied by piano/organ alone ( guitars if you have m); for third vse you may want to feature a solo instrument with piano/organ, n bring in entire ensemble along with descant for final vse. Again, it s your choice. Expiment with diffent colors combinations. Along with duet, b orchestra parts you will also find a guitar voice lead sheet in this hymn edition. The guitar chords will work with piano instrumental parts, or you may use guitar by itself pfect for small garings, retreats or svices whe no piano is available.
