2 Phantom of the Opera (1924) Sunday, October 29, 2017 Organ Concert and Silent Film Before talkies, organists and other musicians commonly accompanied silent films. Organist Andrew Galuska, Director of Music and Fine Arts at the Community Church of Vero Beach, has performed along with the film for a decade all over the country. Don t miss this unique musical and visual experience! Wings of Song *Vero Beach Choral Society November 5, 2017 Wings of Song is a program centered on the themes of flight and the heavens. A varied first half comprises Soar Away from The Sacred Harp, The boy who picked up his feet to fly by Joshua Shank, Bright morning stars by Shawn Kirchner, and Adiemus by Karl Jenkins (with percussionists from Indian River Charter High School), among other works. The second half of the program features Morten Lauridsen s acclaimed Lux aeterna, a celestial celebration of life. Tickets at: Imani Children s Choir Saturday, November 18, :00PM The Imani concerts are an inspirational and exciting blend of unique arrangements, original compositions, praise and worship songs, and all produced by Imani's very talented choir directors. The choir is comprised of talented boys and girls from all around Uganda, who are handpicked, and trained for more than a year. Audiences travel far and wide to experience Imani Choir s electrifying performances which include Imani friends, and super fans who follow the group everywhere they perform.

4 *Ode to Love ~ Ode to Joy Serenade- Leonard Bernstein Symphony No. 9 op. 125 in D Minor the Choral - Ludwig van Beethoven Thursday, January 18, 2018 The Community Church of Vero Beach 7:30PM Leonard Bernstein made his mark with West Side Story but his work went well beyond the Broadway stage. The ACO will explore his Serenade, which, like West Side Story, is imbued with gorgeous tunes, rhythmic playfulness, and a distinctly American energy. Ludwig van Beethoven's final completed symphony, known as "the Choral", swept audiences off their feet from the very first performance and continues to do so almost two centuries later. This piece is in collaboration with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Vero Beach Choral Society, Treasure Coast Community Singers, and The Community Church of Vero Beach Chancel Choir. *Tickets at Atlantic Classical Orchestra~ Liebeslieder Waltzes Johannes Brahms Synergy Chamber Choir Sunday, January 28, 2018 Johannes Brahms is well known for his larger and more complex musical works, but some of his most beloved compositions include smaller, more intimate pieces. These Liebeslieder, or Love Song Waltzes, feature solos, chorus, and piano duet accompaniment. Treasure Coast Handbell Festival David M. Harris, Guest Clinician/Conductor Saturday, February 10, 2018 Come and experience the joy of ringing as various handbell choirs from around the Treasure Coast come together in concert, featuring solo choirs and mass choir rings under the direction of guest conductor, David M. Harris. Mr. Harris has been the director of The Raleigh Ringers since January 1990, when he was instrumental in the formation of the group. David is in increasing demand as a clinician and guest conductor, and has led several national Handbell Musicians of America events.

Andrew Staupe, Concert Pianist Friday, March 2, :00PM American pianist Andrew Staupe is an internationally recognized soloist hailed for his compelling virtuosity and poetic lyricism by audiences and critics alike. Staupe has performed across the United States and extensively in Europe, appearing in Russia, Holland, Latvia, Romania, France, Germany, and Bulgaria.

Written in memory of a dear friend, the piece offers emotion, drama, and thrills at every turn. Mozart, Solemn Vespers and John Rutter, The Sprig of Thyme with Vero Beach High School Sinfonia. Tickets at Vincent Warnier, Concert Organist Sunday, April 29, 2018 In 1992 Vincent Warnier won the Grand Prix de Chartres for interpretation at the Chartres International Organ Competition, and four years later was appointed as organist at Saint-Étienne-du-Mont in Paris where he succeeded Maurice and Marie-Madeleine Duruflé. Vincent Warnier has secured his place as one of the leading performers and improvisers in the French organ tradition.

Known for supporting and promoting the performing arts, The Community Church of Vero Beach is also the home of the Atlantic Ringers, Atlantic Choirs and Youth Choirs, Tapestry Brass as well as the Vero Beach Choral Society and the professional chamber choir, Synergy. Music plays such an important role in our lives. It has the power to raise the spirit to soaring heights and also enhance our earthly home.
