My daughters in high school doing marching band and regular band playing a this time 4 different instruments depending on the teachers need and what they are playing for. She plays oboe, bass clarinet, clarinet and cymbals. She loves this notebook with it's blank staffs so that she can pencil in whatever music that she wants to. She sometimes likes to create her own, and can use this to get it down on paper. Other times the teacher doesn't have enough copies so she can quickly make a hand copy herself. There are even times that the teacher

4 can not find oboe music so he will give her other instrument parts and the two of them use it to create her part. Once edited and all marked up she can rewrite it here to have a nice clean version. She has been using this a lot since she got it and she also really likes the look of it. For a teenager she thinks it looks cool and not just a boring old notebook. It also has places for her to record practice and her information so if it's left around the band room the teacher or other students know who to give it to. I ordered this Manuscript Paper by Mirabell Publishing for my 12 year old son who plays the clarinet. This book has eight staff lines for him to create his own music. On the from it offers place for name, school, and class so if he were to lose it, it would be returned easy. He loves it and has already filled about 10 of the 78 pages. The book measures 8 x 0.2 x 10 inches so it easily fits in their backpack.
