Franz Liszt ( ) About Sean Whytock Sean Whytock is a composer, arranger and pianist from Carlisle, Cumbria. He studied Classical Music at Leeds College of Music and has since then worked as a freelance composer and arranger, predominantly for films and media. Sean is also continuing to perform solo piano repertoire in and outside of Cumbria and hopes to expand on this more regularly across the UK.

He also received musical education through being a chorister of the Bradford Boys Choir (part of the Bradford Youth Choirs), under Dr Christopher Johns. He has spent the past five years accompanying solo singers, instrumentalists, and choirs. Presently, he is the accompanist for Newcastle University s Choral Society and St. Walburga s Choir in Shipley. Solo performances include regular appearances in St. Bede s and St. Joseph s Christmas concert, and featuring in a concert at St. Walburga s Parish in James currently studies Linguistics with Spanish at Newcastle University and is the Tenor Choral Scholar here at Newcastle Cathedral.

Prior to his appointment, Kris was Organ Scholar of Salisbury Cathedral where he both accompanied and conducted both the Cathedral Choirs and worked closely with the Salisbury Cathedral Choir School with teaching musical theory and coaching instrumentalists. During his year in Salisbury, Kris accompanied the combined Cathedral Choirs of Salisbury, Winchester and Chichester for the main choral concert in the Southern Cathedrals Festival. He was also a familiar face in the back row of the choir, often deputising and a counter-tenor for cathedral services. Before his appointment at Salisbury Cathedral, Kris read for a degree in music at the University of East Anglia in Norwich where he also held the organ scholarship at Norwich Cathedral. Whilst reading for his degree, he was also the conductor for two of choral societies, the Barton Turf Choral Society and the Hethersett singers. As a recitalist, Kris has performed in many of the Cathedrals and large parish churches in the country including Rochester Cathedral, Wells Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and Norwich Cathedral. He was also the Young Artist for the St Davids Festival (Wales) in 2014 and later that year played a recital in St Martin s Church, Worcester, as part of the annual Three Choirs Festival, an invitation due to receiving high marks in his playing exam for his Associate Diploma for The Royal College of Organists.

Marcus Wibberley Bénédiction nuptialem, Op. 9 Camille Saint-Saëns ( ) Toccata de la Libératon Léonce de Saint-Martin ( ) About Marcus Wibberley Marcus Wibberley is Director of Music & Organist of Hexham Abbey and Festival Director of the annual Hexham Abbey Festival of Music and Arts. His responsibilities include directing the Abbey s choirs, overseeing the programme of concerts and recitals on the Abbey s world-famous Phelps organ, and working with the Friends of Hexham Abbey Music (who provide funding for the Abbey s Choral and Organ Scholarships). For the Festival, he is responsible for devising the programme of artistic events and has successfully gained sizeable grants from the Arts Council of England. Marcus was trained as a Chorister of Westminster Abbey under Martin Neary, and studied the organ with Martin Baker and John Scott Whiteley. He holds a First Class honours degree in Music from The University of Hull, and was awarded the Gerald Knight prize for the highest marks in the Choral Directing diploma of the Royal College of Organists. He held organ scholarships at Chichester Cathedral, Beverley Minster and latterly York Minster before becoming Sub-Organist of Portsmouth Cathedral and the Music Adviser to The Diocese of Portsmouth. During his six years at Portsmouth, he accompanied the Cathedral Choir on five highly-acclaimed BBC live broadcasts, four CD recordings and six foreign tours. For the diocese, he ran pioneering schemes to provide organ tuition to teenagers and to introduce singing to schoolchildren and their teachers. As a recitalist, Marcus has travelled extensively. Recent recitals have been given in Japan (where he undertook a solo tour in October 2012), France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Estonia, as well as most of the major cathedrals and abbeys in this country. In August 2017, Marcus is leaving Hexham and moving to London to take up the post of Organist & Director of Music at St George s, Beckenham.
