This year marks the 4th annual gathering of Earthdance Florida, a four-day festival of art, music, and energy in Lakeland, Florida. The festival runs from September 18th through September 21st, 2014.

2 This year marks the 4th annual gathering of Earthdance Florida, a four-day festival of art, music, and energy in Lakeland, Florida. The festival runs from September 18th through September 21st, It features world-class and local talent ranging from jam bands to electronic dance performers, visionary artists, and cirque performers. The event consists of two multi-genre music stages, two visionary art galleries, various workshops (e.x. flow, up-cycling, yoga, healing arts), and theme camping. Although admission is 18+ only, the festival offers something for everybody. As an official chapter of Earthdance International, Earthdance Florida is one of over 300 festival locations participating worldwide. Every Earthdance festival around the world recites the global "Prayer for Peace" at the same moment. This year's global theme is "Transformation" and the local Florida theme is "Ancient Mythology". There will be multiple "realms" to explore within the festival, and each area will be themed after an ancient culture. The festival donates $1 of every ticket to supporting Earthdance Intl., and makes a pledge of their proceeds to a local charity every year. This year's charity is Salvation Army's George W. Jenkins Community of Hope to help local families who are struggling with homelessness in Lakeland, FL and Polk County. 3 Florida s first transformational festival returns with world-class artists this fall Earthdance Florida: An Art, Music, and Energy Festival announces 2014 theme and headliners, featuring Phutureprimitive, Random Rab, and Govinda July , Sarasota, FL - The creators of Earthdance Florida want to take us on a journey. From September 18th through September 21st, they will transform Maddox Ranch in Lakeland, Florida into an ancient mythological wonderland of art, music, healing, and dance. They will join with 300 locations celebrating peace at Earthdance International events across the world. According to their official website, Earthdance is now the largest, global synchronized dance event in history. All the festival locations organize together to gather audiences at the same moment across the world to ask for peace for all nations, peace for our communities, and peace within ourselves. Earthdance Florida will participate in the global Prayer for Peace at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th, The festival consists of two live stages and several interactive areas. The line-up includes world class musicians such as Phutureprimitive,, Random Rab, Mobius8, Aphrodite, Govinda, Roy "Futureman" Wooten, Egyptian Lover, Telesma, and The Hip Abduction - and over 75 other eclectic acts ranging from edm to tribal rock. There will be art spaces highlighting visionary artists like Artescape, Adam Scott Miller, Dela and Jonathan Solter. Tribal Council will provide a geodome for creative and spiritual workshops all weekend long. C4 Collective and Rising Light will hold gardening, energy, and sustainability classes. Also, flow workshops and fire spinning safety will be taught on site.

Theme camping is encouraged as participants are welcome to explore the Celtic, Asian, Egyptian, Greek, and Atlantis themed realms within the festival.

4 Transformation is the global theme for Earthdance this year and the local theme for Earthdance Florida is ancient mythology. The myth of the phoenix rising from the ashes is an icon for the Florida chapter of this year s global peace party. Theme camping is encouraged as participants are welcome to explore the Celtic, Asian, Egyptian, Greek, and Atlantis themed realms within the festival. The festival s producers, Matt and Belinda Pettinato of Controlled Chaos Productions, want to offer something for everyone. They consider the festival goers as co-creators in the Earthdance experience. Controlled Chaos Productions is a event production company known for their themed festivals inspired by interactive art experiences like Burning Man and Shambala. They are part of the Earthdance Collective and participate in the worldwide vision for Earthdance International. They donate $1 from each ticket sale to Earthdance International 501(c)(3), and are pledging a donation of proceeds to Salvation Army's George W. Jenkins Community of Hope to help local families who struggle with homelessness in Lakeland, FL and Polk County.
