14 PERCUSSION All percussion audition candidates for must pick a solo of their choice on EITHER a mallet keyboard instrument or snare drum, showing your best abilities. Sight reading may also be tested on your chosen instrument. Please bring two copies of your solo for the judges. In addition, each percussionist is REQUIRED to perform each of the following on their choice of two of the three instruments listed below: Snare Drum: Rudimental Roll, Orchestral Roll, Flams, Paradiddles. Mallet Instruments: 2 Octave Major Scales and Arpeggios: C, F, Bb, G, D. Plus, Chromatic Scale, 2 Octaves. Timpani: Long Roll, ppp to fff. Ability to tune will also be tested. Please bring pitch pipe. $15 audition fee, $10 for each additional sibling.
