Usig two X seds, route the saxohoe soud (reader) to the audio is o the Macitosh. Route the audio outs o the Macitosh to the soud system. Deedig o the size o the hall, a very small amout o dry saxohoe sigal may be added to the mai mix. I the hall is very dry, ad a reverb uit is available, it may be desirable to ut some reverb o both the soud comig rom the comuter, ad the saxohoe, to bled them. Ti or settig overall level: the loudest oit i the iece occurs at sectio 5, whe a very loud soudile is layed by the comuter. To determie the overall seaker volume or the iece, ust ress the scree butto or sectio 5. (Be sure to ress the "reset" butto o the scree whe you are doe.) Ater you set the master volume or the whole system, the oly other imortat level to set is the amout o saxohoe sigal that reaches the comuter. I this is the case, a moitor is ot eeded; but i the erormer is actually behid the seakers, a moitor will be eeded. The sotware The sotware or this iece is a simle atch created with the MAX/MS develomet ackage. Simly coy the older o this CD oto the comuter hard drive. I have icluded the MAX/ms istaller o the disc. Oce you istall the MAX/ms sotware, you ca use the ull (editable) versio or 0 days. Ater that, my iece will still work, but it will lauch the "Rutime" o-editable versio o the MAX/MS sotware. I the Macitosh soud cotrol ael, set the iut to either "soud i", or exteral mic. It does't seem to make a dierece. There are two thigs to do: 1. ollow the score, as the erormer reaches each ew sectio, you must ush the butto o the scree with the corresodig umber. There are six dieret sectios i the iece. 2. You must lay the iao-like edal markigs i the score by holdig dow the sacebar o the comuter keyboard. ressig the sacebar causes the audio beig geerated by the comuter to slowly ade i. Be sure to release the sacebar at the roer times as well.
