So, this Newsletter is almost exclusively related to details regarding this wonderful end-of-year event. Please read this information and contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Concert order: LBB, BB, SO, intermission, JS, Awards, YS Where do I go? All GCYO musicians, please enter side-stage door at the North-end of The Arts Centre Gold Coast for Performance. GCYO supervision is from 1.00 PM through 9.30 PM. When do I arrive? Rehearsal: please see side table for your time - all musicians required for rehearsal and sound-check. LB, BB and SO musicians: please arrive no later than 5.00 PM for the Concert (side-stage door opens 4.00 pm). YS and JS Musicians - please sit in musician-only seats in the audience until intermission. All other musicians required back-stage - thanks. What do I wear? Full concert dress for evening Performance. What food and drink can I bring? Only bottled water please. When can I leave? All musicians and their families are invited/requested to stay until the Concert concludes approx PM. Everyone loves an audience! Programs Programs, listing all Performing Musicians, will be on sale in the foyer of the Arts Centre on 29 October for $4.00. Musician Seating in Audience Musician-only complimentary seats have been allocated for your enjoyment. You will be escorted to these audience seats after your performance with GCYO supervision. Or, musicians may also sit in a paid-seat with family; please let us know if you will be doing this.

Please make your way from the audience or the green rooms. The audience loves seeing all 200+ musicians on-stage together!! Exit Procedures for Musicians after Concert To expedite the exit process for musicians and their families, the following procedures will occur after the Concert. Please discuss this with your musician to ensure they understand this process. Once musicians have collected their instrument and other belongings, groups will depart the Arts Centre in one of two ways: SO, JS and LBB Will be escorted by GCYO Supervisors/Volunteers to the front foyer for collection by parents. Musicians will not be able to exit until collected by a parent or designated care-giver. With approximately 120 darling young musicians, this process will take some time. Thank you for your anticipated patience:) BB and YS Musicians will exit the side-stage door. 4 Gala Concert Etiquette In line with average and expectable Theatre etiquette and to ensure a smooth-running and enjoyable event for all, the Gala Concert may not be recorded. GCYO has employed the services of a Professional Videographer ABLE Video and Multimedia to record our entire Gala Concert on Sunday 29 October 2017 start 6.00 PM This wonderful keepsake can be ordered and purchased for $37 each No Recording Equipment Use of recording devices, including smart phones, cameras, ipads etc. are not permitted at the Gala Concert. On the night, Arts Centre Ushers will be ensuring adherence.
