1 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Dr JOHN GALLAGHER CONCERT CHAMBER STAGE DIMENSIONS 12.5m wide at the downstage edge tapering to 10.7m wide at the far upstage wall. 8m in depth Elevated 0.9m from main auditorium floor. Stage floor has a polished finish. Steps are located at both sides of the stage edge, 0.9m wide by 1.5m long and 0.9m high from theatre seating floor. Note: It is possible for the stair fillers to make the entire stage inaccessible from main auditorium floor. Useful for placing Sound Systems or Boom Trolleys. Stage doors are located downstage on both OP & PS, 1.57m wide by 2.23m high (double doors). Double doors are also located on the upstage wall OP and measure 1.85m wide by 2.19m high. All stage doors give access to respective support spaces (wings). An external double door from inside the OP wing to the docking area exists measuring 1.91m wide by 2.22m high. STAGE MANAGER The Stage Manager's position can be set in either wing. The Stage Management portable desk is fitted out with the following: lectern light (blue), TV monitor of long view of Concert Chamber stage, headset & mic (for communication with control box and backstage paging), in-house and external telephone system. Note: House lights and non-dim circuits can also be controlled from SM position in the OP wing, or from the Control Room box. F/X Please inform us immediately if any fog, cigarettes, open flames (including candles and matches), or other F/X are required for the production. Material data sheets and descriptions must be provided four (4) weeks prior to company's arrival. FLAME PROOFING Certificates for all material and scenery must be provided before arrival. OBSTRUCTIONS Orchestra seats and music stands are stored in the opposite prompt support space (wings). Lights, stands & booms, black carpet and plinths are stored in the prompt side support space (wings)

Gobo holders to fit profiles are shared between both the Concert Chamber and the adjoining Playhouse Theatre.

3 3 LIGHTING DESK The Concert Chamber is equipped with a Electronic Theatre Controls EOS Family ION. DIMMERS The Concert Chamber runs 16 x 12 channel 2.5 K Theatrelight Digital dimmer packs. These dimmer packs are hard wired and cannot be moved from the APA Dimmer Room. HOUSE LIGHTS The Concert Chamber house light system runs 1 x Theatrelight Digital dimmer pack and has a 12 channel preset-able dimmer consol.

4 4 CHANNELS The Concert Chamber has a total of 178 individual channels. Each channel has a maximum output of 2.5kw. 5 5 STANDARD CLOTHS There are no standard cloths/drapes for the Concert Chamber. Note: A cyclorama and black tabs are available should they be required. Please advise us of your requirements. SOUND REFLECTIVE CEILING ABOVE STAGE PLATFORM The Concert Chamber has 32 (4 rows of 8) sound reflective baffles mounted above the stage, in effect, creating a false ceiling. Built within each baffle is a Par 64, this allows for full coverage or the stage area in white down light. Note: One row of eight baffles are set beyond the apron of the stage, leaving 24 directly above the stage. These are mostly used for orchestral lighting. The height from the stage surface to the reflective baffles is 6.5m. From the auditorium floor to the reflective baffles the height is 7.4m.
