Superior picture quality with astonishing colour reproduction The BRAVIA KDL-70X3500 adopts the Triluminos LED backlight technology invented by Sony. Triluminos allows for the creation of a wider spectrum of colours (102% of the NTSC colour gamut) by aligning three individual LEDs of red, green and blue to achieve a significantly higher purity for these primary colours. The result is the television s ability to display more natural and vivid colours similar to what the human eye can actually see. Consumers can therefore enjoy the most stunning visual effects ever with the Full HD home theatre. The BRAVIA KDL-70X3500 features x.v.colour which conforms to xvycc international standard. xvycc is an international standard for colour space in videos endorsed by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). x.v.colour enables realisation of a wider range of colours at approximately twice that of conventional standards (srgb). 2 depth and detail will be reproduced in full intensity and the moving images are a lot more life-like than conventional srgb colours. Together with Sony s unique Live Colour Creation technology and Colour Algorithm with WCG-CCFL 2 nd generation backlight technology, the KDL-70X3500 achieves superior and stunning colour performance with life-like images. Powered by Sony s premium BRAVIA ENGINE PRO with a picture quality enhancement circuit called Digital Reality Creation Multi-Function v2.5, the 70-inch BRAVIA LCD TV can fully display contents from 1080i and 1080p Full HD sources. Digital Reality Creation Multi-function (DRC-MF) v2.5 has the added ability to process interlace, progressive and even HD video signals over previous DRC-MF circuits. It can conduct its processing and output them to 1080p with the least amount of conversions to avoid degradation. Adding to this are the crisp details, outstanding contrast, eye-popping colours and dramatically fine detail reproduction that the DRC-MF circuitry is known for. The benefit is unparalleled picture quality. The new BRAVIA KDL-70X3500 is also equipped with Sony s newly developed Motionflow 100Hz High Frame Rate Technology. By doubling the 50Hz frame rate to 100 Hz, the television can display twice as many images per second as conventional ones. By inserting newly created images into the original frames based on incoming signals, it dramatically reduces image blurring and judder to make the motion of fast-moving objects shaper and smoother. In addition, viewers can choose the level of motion enhancement in three different modes (High, Standard, Off). This model also includes a true 10-bit panel to reproduce smooth gradation of colours with natural tones. Combining the Triluminos LED backlight system and Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE), the 70-inch LCD Full HD television delivers a dynamic contrast ratio of 25000:1. The technology deepens the dark areas in each scene without sacrificing the brightness. By displaying richer blacks and whites, the technology also dramatically improves the mid-tones in dark scenes.
