If connected to cble system or chnnel which trnsmit the correct informtion, the nmes nd chnnel numbers re lso entered utomticlly. If you wish the order of progrmme numbers nd nmes of stored chnnels cn be modified fterwrds. Follow very closely nd step by step the instructions of the Automtic Instlltion. or nul instlltion With mnul instlltion it is possible to select whether chnnels re serched for by frequency or chnnel number. Follow very closely nd step by step the instructions of the nul Instlltion procedure. You must go through every step. Go on to pge 8. The frequency is djusted in the block shown in the upper left corner of the screen. Go on to 3 if you wnt to store the chnnel tht hs been found. Do you wnt different chnnel? 4 Press O gin to restrt the serch. No chnnel found? 4 Interrupt the serch by pressing the keys V or W or the ENU key. Check tht you hve selected the correct system or tht the eril is connected properly. See Tips p

Ask for list from your cble compny or deler, lterntively consult the Tble of frequencies on the inside bckcover of this hndbook. 4 Select Serch with the keys V or W. 4 Enter the 3 digits of the desired frequency or the 2 digits in cse of C-or S-chnnels. 4 For frequencies under 100 Hz, first enter 0. For exmple : The frequency is utomticlly finetuned. Hve you entered wrong number? First complete the frequency or the chnnel number with rbitrry numbers nd then strt gin. Go on to 3. Enter the progrmme number English Now ssign number of your choice to the chnnel you hve locted. In this wy you decide the order of ll your chnnels. 4 Select Progrmme Number with the keys V or W. 4 Select with the keys C or or with the digit keys the desired progrmme number. 10 Enter or modify progrmme nme It is possible to chnge the nme stored in the memory or to ssign nme to chnnel which hs not yet been entered. A nme with mximum of 5 letters or numbers cn be given to the progrmme numbers 0 to 99. For exmple SUPER, C1,... etween 99 nd 0, you cn lso nme your computer or ny peripherls tht re connected. When you hve finished entering or modifying progrmme nmes. 4 Press ENU. 5 The INSTAATION menu reppers. Reshuffle the progrmme list According to your preference you cn chnge the order of the stored chnnels. When you re stisfied with the order of the progrmme list, go to pge Select Reshuffle with the keys V or W nd press O. 5 The menu RESHUFFE ppers. 4 Select the chnnel you wnt to chnge the progrmme number of with the keys V, W, C or nd press O. 4 Use the keys C or to select nother column of the progrmme list. 5 The progrmme number nd the nme of the chnnel pper in blck block. 4 Use the keys V, W, or C to move to the number where you wnt to locte the chnnel. 4 Press O. 5 The chnnel moves to the selected progrmme number. The chnnel which ws locted on tht position utomticlly moves to the progrmme number of the chnnel you hve modified. 4 Repet this for ll the other chnnels you wnt to swp. 11 Select Fvourite chnnels FAVOURITE PROGRAES ENU VCR 1 VCR 2 SAT AP c TUNER TAPE DCC CD S/VGA FRONT A/V A/V A/V A/V Progrmme Number Fvourite O 0 During the instlltion ll the stored chnnels hve utomticlly been plced into the fvourite list. This will mke selection of only your fvourite chnnels lot esier nd fster. In the Fvourite Progrmmes menu you cn indicte for ech chnnel if you wnt to keep tht chnnel s fvourite. You cn lso do this for progrmme number reserved for the progrmmes you receive from your decoder. After leving the instlltion you cn quickly run through the chnnels by pressing the P - or +. Only those chnnels which re in the fvourite list will be displyed. The non-fvourite chnnels cn still be selected with the digit keys. 4 Select Fvourite Progrmmes with the keys V or W nd press O. 5 The FAVOURITE PROGRAES menu ppers. 5 Progrmme Number lights up. 4 Select the progrmme number of chnnel with the digit keys. 4 Select Fvourite with the keys V or W. 4 Press the keys or C to select Yes or No. In this wy you decide whether you wnt to keep the selected chnnel s fvourite chnnel or not. Repet this for every chnnel you like to chnge into fvourite or nonfvourite chnnel. 4 Press ENU gin if you hve finished selecting chnnels in the fvourite list. 5 The INSTAATION menu reppers. English Define Decoder/Descrmbler progr. numbers If you hve connected decoder or descrmbler, see p. 31, you cn define one or more progrmme numbers s decoder progrmme numbers. DECODER/ DESCRAER Progrmme Decoder Sttus 4 Select Decoder/Descrmbler with the keys V or W nd press O. 5 The DECODER/DESCRAER menu ppers. 4 Select Progrmme with the keys V or W. 5 Progrmme lights up. 4 Select the progrmme number under which you hve stored the progrmme coming from your decoder with the digit keys. 4 Select Decoder Sttus with the keys V or W. 5 Decoder Sttus (only in -mode) lights up. 4 Press the keys C or to select Off, A/V 3 or A/V 4, the euroconnector where you connected your decoder. When VGA computer is connected, the selection is mde utomticlly. When S/VGA or cintosh computer is connected, mke selection yourself between PC nd AC Z. Your selection is stored in the memory. Power ngement 4 Select Power ngement with the V or W keys. 4 Press the C or keys to select On or Off. Note : the grphicl bord of your computer should be fit to support Power ngement. Quickly run through the chnnels from the Fvourite list. 4 Press the P - or + key repetedly. If you wnt to store the volume djustment in the memory, see the Fetures menu, Generl PP Store, p. 18, to store the sme volume djustment for ll the stored chnnels. When the lowest of the highest possible volume djustment is not ccording to your opinion, the volume limits cn be djusted with the Deler Service Tool (DST) (RC7150). 14 in enu PICTURE SART CONTROS SOUND Select the picture settings Four types of picture setting hve been pre-defined. You cn choose between these four different settings with the PICTURE key of the smrt controls on the door of the remote control. 4 Press the Smrt Controls' key PICTURE repetedly to select : Soft, Nturl, Rich or Personl. When in S/VGA or AC Z mode, displying informtion from your computer, you cn select : Grphics, Text, Fine Text or Personl. 5 The picture setting possibilities re displyed briefly on top of the screen. The picture settings correspond with specific predefined setting of Contrst, Colour, Shrpness nd Contrst Plus. Personl refers to the personl preference settings of contrst, colour, shrpness nd contrst plus you cn djust in the PICTURE menu nd store with Generl PP store in the FEATURES menu.
