3 Nuvolight ipad App NuvoTouch The central element of the Nuvolight control system is our specifically developed ipad App NuvoTouch. An intuitive interface enables the light setting of single luminaires and the selection of individually created lighting atmospheres without previous technical knowledge. Due to the fact that the touch panel is portable, the lighting can be adjusted right at the place of the luminaire. Of course the tablet may also be installed stationary in a suitable wall mount in a fixed location. ith the App NuvoTouch, the luminaires can be controlled individually or in groups. The desired setting can then be saved as a macro for later use. It is possible to use multiple tablets with the NuvoTouch App in the same building. Thus, for example, there may be a stationary tablet accessible for the employees, while another tablet is located in the office. hen required, certain functions of the App may be locked or enabled. As an example, there may be an ipad just for recalling lighting scenes while another ipad also enables the user to create new scenes. For a concrete project, we draw a unique background image for the app, showing the actual floor plan of your building. Therefore, all lighting elements are displayed on the screen, corresponding to their actual position for easy orientation. 4

Due to ED technology, the color is freely adjustable, as well as the intensity can be continuously dimmed. The special Plexiglas front is framed with aluminum and provides pleasantly uniform light distribution. The luminaire also contains side emitting EDs, which are continuously dimmable, regardless of the front EDs. By creating a warm-white backlight, the luminaire is emphasized elegantly. The New York model is provided with a real wood veneer surface and is produced in high quality German workmanship. As with the New York model, it is the selection of top quality materials and illuminants, which make the luminaire an outstanding product. Both can be independently set in color and intensity, which provides various options for creative room light design. 6 Data Continuously dimmable Nuvolight System uminaire Alexandria The system luminaire Alexandria impressively shows your movie hall in its full height. The round Plexiglas front is lighted from the inside, which creates an atmospheric colored illumination. The elongated shape of the luminaire is continued by the light cones from warm white spots inside of the upper and lower wooden sockets of the luminaire. Due to the independent adjustability of color and brightness, various possibilities of light design are obtained. As with all Nuvolight luminaires, the Alexandria model is manufactured in German workmanship, using only top quality materials. The used ED technology covers the whole color range and enables adjustment of the lighting on specific objects, such as curtains, movie screens or columns. 9 Nuvolight Step Profile NuvoStep NuvoStep is our innovative step profile for stair illumination. The housing is made of stable but slim black anodized aluminum. NuvoStep also provides perfect illumination on the stairs for both ascending and descending. The step profile offers seamless integration in the overall light design by enabling the individual setting of color and brightness of every step. Thus, it is possible to create color gradients and variations along the whole stairway. hile usually the stair illumination is only a necessary requirement, NuvoStep turns it into an attractive design element. 11 Nuvolight System Overview Example Installation Curtain control The whole lighting system is controlled by the Nuvolight communication system NKS. It consists of two identical computers, which are running in parallel and ensure the controllability of the lighting, also in the event of one of the systems failing. Illumination Illumination The NKS is delivered with software programs, developed by Nuvolight, for communication between the luminaires and all other control devices. It also enables to automate the control system from the movie servers. Our NKS serves not only the control and automation of lighting, but has already proven itself in many projects as a central element to realize automation of audio processor, movie server, projector, curtain control and door closer. Accordingly, the Nuvolight system serves not only to control the components, but also to monitor the correct operation of all components. Switch All associated devices just need to be connected via a simple network switch. For further security, we offer a remote maintenance service for the NKS computers. That way, in case of a problem, a Nuvolight service employee can easily do settings remotely while there is no need to be present at the place. 13 In-House Hard- and Software Development It is our mission to develop an automation system that provides the high degree of functionality needed in cinemas while still being easy to use. To meet this objective, we create all of our control components ourselves. The key factor for obtaining that goal is the development of all hardware components from scratch by our highly skilled engineers. Moreover, also the software and the ipad App are programmed in-house. That way, we are able to turn the handling of the lighting in a professional and user-friendly experience. Of course, wo don t only design the luminaries and the step profiles ourselves, but we also manufacture all products in our own facility. As we have the whole production process in our own hands and are at the building site ourselves for the final commissioning, we know the needs for an excellent lighting solution and can therefore target our system specifically on the cinema environment. 24
