2 Sony introduces the SVO-960, Professional grade VHS duplicator: Built on Sony's expertise in VTRs, the SVO-960 is a highly reliable VTR that promotes ease of handling and cost efficiency. The SVO-960 is easy to operate, compact and lightweight. With its optional remote control, functions such as USER 10 codes REC/PLA'r; AUTO OFF, and AUTO CHECK FUNCTIONS can be performed. Furthermore, the SVO-960 can provide even greater efficiency and flexibility with the audio meter, auto cassette changer, and 34-pin parallel interface board options. When looking for. VTRs for duplication, the SVO-960 VHS duplicator system is the system of choice. HIGH QUALITY DUPLICATION High Quality Picture and Sound: Superior video and audio playback in consumer model recorder/players is the result of Sony's video and audio wide track design. -Track Width of 58 Micron for Video and 42 Micron for FM Audio. Auto Head Cleaner: Preventive care of the tape heads is realized with Sony's Auto Head Cleaning element. With every load or eject, the cleaning roller automatically passes over video/fm audio (rotary) heads, removing tape residue that causes head clog. For both supply and take up, this feature ehminates drive belts providing stable tape transport and long life operation. REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION System operation is easy to understand using the Sony external remote control unit. The remote is the primary means for system operation. 3 Bi-directional Remote Control: Duplication system management is easy with optional Bi-directional Remote Control Unit SVRM-960 and its Interface Board SVBK-902. It enables two way communication between controller and VTRs both for system control and system management. -Easy System Management. User ID Code Recording Function: When the VTR is controlled from the optional SVRM-901 Remote Control Unit or SVRM-902 Bi-directional Control Unit, USER ID, DATE, and TIME recording capability is available. Up to 12 digit of USER ID/DATE/TIME can be recorded on the control track. The I D code can be displayed on the time counter during playback. -Effectively Puts ID Code Information on Tape. Control S Terminal: Function checks and simple remote operation are possible through the SVO-960 Control S Terminal. Using Sony's optional Remote Control Unit RM-V100/ 200, the connection can conveniently be made from the VTR front panel. -Easy Connections for SVAC-904 Auto Off Function: The SVO-960 automatically stops if technical difficulty arises. An AUTO OFF indicator illuminates, error code is displayed on the LED time counter, and signal is sent through AUTO OFF connector (phono). -Automatic Warning System. Setting of various VTR function from the front panel of the SVO-960 is easy using the DATA SET feature. Functions include VTR ID codes REG ON/OFF, VTR ID codes DISPLAY ON/OFF, video AGG (auto gain control) ON/OFF, audio limiter ON/OFF, Hi-Fi audio ON/OFF, DolbyTM NR ON/OFF, Auto Rewind ON/OFF, Video Input ON/OFF and No Write Protection ON/OFF. -User Friendly Operation. Automatic Check Function: By the TEST button on the SVRM-901 Remote Control Unit or SVRM-902 Bi-directional Remote Control Unit, the VTR searches for blank tape segments. The VTR then automatically runs through record, rewind and playback modes. In playback, diagnoses of the video/audio recording level and audio L/R channel balance are checked. Any technical difficulty will activate the Auto Off Function. -Provides Convenient Equipment Check of Main Functions.

4 Compact & Lightweight: The SVO-960 is a space efficient unit. It is 132 mm (4 114H high and 270 mm (10 314") width and it weighs only 7.5 kg (16 Ib 9 oz). 5 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES Automatic Cassette Changer SVCC-960 Serial Remote Control Board SVRM-901 Bi-directional SVRM-960 Remote Control Unit Using the SVCC-960 Automatic Cassette Changer cassettes are duplicated automatically. The SVCC-960 can be attached easily to the SVO-960. The SVRM-901 controls the entire duplication system. All VTR functions, such as EJ ECT /STOP /PLAY /RECORD/PAUSE/ FWD SEARCH/REW SEARCH/FF/REW/ AUTO CASSETTE CHANGER START, can be controlled by this board. In addition, functions such as Data Set and Auto Check can be operated remotely. The SVRM-960 Bi-directional Remote Control Unit with SVBK-902 Bi-directional Interface board enables communication with a single VTR in the duplication system in addition to system control capability. The SVRM-960 can monitor individual VTR's status, such as operation mode, set-up mode, VTR 10, USER/TIME/DATE ID, error information, etc. This information is shown on the monitor screen. This SVRM-960/SVBK-902 combination enables two-way communication between controller and VTR.
