1.0 Software Overview PyrOptix TM Image Processing Software (IPS) displays IP video from Enertechnix cameras found on the network. The software has multiple versions it can run in which enable various features outlined in the figure below. You can find the version you are running by clicking on the About button found on the front panel. If you would like to upgrade your software to a different version, please contact Sales@enertechnix.com PyrOptix IPS Feature Overview PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 1

2.0 Slag Indexing The Slag Indexing version of the software Inherits all the features from the Basic Viewer Version of the software but also has the ability to process and display detected slag accumulation. A list of the main features can be found below. This version of the software has a video overview which is available by scanning the QR code or by clicking on the Icon below. If you would like to download the video or if you have any other questions that you would like answered, please us at Support@enertechnix.com PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 3

2.1 Using Full Screen Mode Full Screen mode allows the user to view only the image. When Stretch Image on Full Screen is enabled in the settings menu (see Section 4.6), the image (which has a native aspect ratio of 4:3) will stretch to cover the entire screen (16:9) when Full Screen mode is enabled. To enter Full Screen mode, simply click the Full Screen button found on the front panel. To exit Full Screen mode, hit the escape key or click anywhere inside the image. 2.2 Front Panel Overview The Front Panel controls (Figure 2) which are used for image capture and modifying settings, are described in more detail below. Front Panel Controls Full Screen: Displays the Live Image Across the whole screen. Settings: Loads the Settings window. Capture Image: Takes a snapshot of the live image. Auto-Capture Image: Takes a snapshot at a user defined interval. Record Video: Records Video PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 4

Record Segments: Records video of a user defined length and interval About: Loads a window that displays program information, such as version number and the current instance. Exit: Exits out of the program Selected Frame: Displays the grayscale processed image. This is the frame typically used for the determination algorithms Detected Frame: Displays a binary image of the outcome of the detection algorithm Zone Tabs: displays tabs for each zone which contain the values for each individual zone as well as a tab for the combined zones. Zone Data: Displays the current values for each zone. Chart Data Status: Display the status of the data being displayed on the charts, this is usually just how many points of data are being used for the running average. Data Processing Status: Displays the current stage the detection algorithms are in PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 5

2.3 Recording Images Recording video or saving snapshots is made simple in PyrOptix IPS. All video & image files will be stored in a user defined location which is configured in the settings menu (see section 2.5). This location is called the Data Storage File Path. It is important to note that both videos and images can be stored with or without the overlays that are on the live image. To enable them, make sure the Record with Overlays option is selected in the settings menu (see section 2.5) To record a video simply click the Record Video button on the front panel. This will begin recording a clip to the Data Storage File Path location. The video will record continuous clips until the Record Video button is pressed again. The duration of each clip is defined in the settings menu by the Clip Duration control (see section 2.5). The quality and size of the video is defined by the Video Codec selected in the settings menu (see section 2.5). To enable timed video recording, click the Record Segments button on the front panel. This will begin recording a clip to the Data Storage File Path location. The video will record clips on a timed interval until the Record Segments button is pressed again. The duration of each clip is defined in the settings menu by the Clip Duration control (see section 2.5). The interval for timed recordings is defined in the settings menu by the Record Interval control (see section 2.5). The quality and size of the video is defined by the Video Codec selected in the settings menu (see section 2.5). To take a snapshot of the live image, click the Capture Image button on the front panel. To enabled timed snapshots, click on the Auto-Capture Image button on the front panel. The interval is defined by the Snapshot Rate found in the settings menu (see section 2.5) PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 6

2.4 Basic Settings - Finding & Assigning a Camera After clicking the Settings button found on the front panel, the settings window will pop up. The software will scan the network and find any compatible IP video cameras and populate the Available Network Cameras list with the results. Basic Settings - Camera Information Available Camera List: Displays all the cameras that are available to be viewed on the network. Active Channel: Controls which camera is selected based of the available camera list. When the channel is modified it will reset any recording or data collection that is taking place. 27 3.0 FAQ and Troubleshooting General Hardware Layout (Note: Your layout may differ, please consult your installation drawings for the actual layout) 3.1. Troubleshooting FAQ Q: I keep seeing an attempting to reestablish connection screen, what do I do? A: Verify all connections. If everything is connected properly and all components are receiving power, verify that all three LEDs on the video server (found inside the Universal Enclosure and shown below) are green. If they are not, restart the video server by disconnecting and reconnecting power to the system. If Further issues persist, please contact Enertechnix PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 25

Q: Our view is black and says, No Video in the top right of the screen, what do I do? A: The camera has lost power or the connection from the camera to the video server has been lost. Reestablish a connection between the axis video server and the camera (Done through a coaxial cable with BNC connectors) and verify that the camera is receiving power (You should see an image in the back of the camera when powered on). Q: I want to start storing the data somewhere else, how do I do it? A: You can assign the program to save all data to a specific file path seen in section 2.5. This path can be located on any standard drive with NTFS or FAT32 formatting. You can also assign it to a network drive (NAS). Q: Can I run multiple instances of the software on one computer? A: Yes, the software has been designed and tested to run two instances of the software with full performance with our minimum recommended hardware specs. To do this you will need to make a copy of the executable folder and update the monitor you wish for the software to display on. You can do that by updating the file seen below. For all other questions and concerns please contact an engineer at Enertechnix by using one of the following methods: Phone: (360) extension 15 Support@enertechnix.com PyrOptix IPS v1.0 (360) Support@enertechnix.com pg. 26
