Fully compatible with all popular streaming software platforms, the is the best choice to turn your live production into a global broadcast! Before operating and exploring the possibilities of the, it is highly recommended that you carefully read through the Safety and Precaution sections first for safe operation while avoiding hazardous situations. OVERVIEW The is a ultra compact 2-channel video mixer with webstreaming converter supporting high definition video streaming (1080p). Connect to your Mac or Windows computer to use the as a virtual webcam, allowing live streaming through most popular platforms. 7 channel audio mixer; counting stereo audio from each video source, a combo microphone input and stereo RCA input connectors. User s Manual High Definition 2 Channel Web Streaming & Converter Power Adapter Owner s Manual POWER UP As noted above, Asystems have included a DC power adapter for powering the. Connect the adapter s BNC head to the DC IN connector and the AC end into a suitable power source. When the is powered up, the front panel LCD screen will turn on and light up (depending on your backlight settings). 3
6 VIDEO CONNECTIONS There are two sides to the video connections: input and output. The offers two separate video inputs, one through HDMI and one through SDI. Each of these is accompanied by a Loop Out connector that can be connected to a television, video projector or other display device. Alternatively, the Loop Out could also be used to connect to additional video switchers. The is designed to operate at 1080p resolution, meaning that any high definition devices will be displayed in this resolution. In the event a lower resolution source is used, it will be upconverted to 1080p. Realistically, there will be no noticeable difference in the video quality, except the resolution itself. The will automatically adjust the resolution of input sources without any input necessary from the user. AUDIO CONNECTIONS Each of the video inputs includes a stereo audio mix, however there are 2 additional analog audio inputs that can be utilized. These include stereo RCA connectors and a mono Combo input. Stereo RCA input connectors are common on many consumer products including CD and DVD players. They re also found on professional analog mixers, allowing an entire audio system to be injected into the. The Combo inputs accept XLR connectors perfect for professional microphones and ¼ phone jack inputs ideal for line-level devices. While this is a mono input, any signal will be sent to both the left and right channels of the s Main audio mix. COMPUTER CONNECTION The offers a USB-C connector on the rear panel labelled WEBCAM. This is your webcam port that can be connected to any modern computer with a standard USB-C to USB-A cable (not included). Your computer will automatically recognize the as a webcam and set it up for you upon connection. The next step is to simply set your as your default webcam in your software. This is done simply in the software s main set up menu. For example, in Skype the option can be found in the Audio/Video sub-menu found inside Preferences. Don t forget to set the as your default audio source too! Within Open Broadcaster (found through simply find the Sources window and click + to add a new Video Capture Device. TALLY CONNECTION The Tally output on the rear of the can be used to feed tally information to connected cameras. This will allow the camera to display when a camera is on air whenever the source is selected. The tally output is a 4-pin mini-din connector. When connected to your Tally device, push the MENU button to access the Tally options and set to SDI or HDMI as applicable. 4

9 INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS Handle carefully! Dropping the unit or subjecting it to strong impact or vibration may cause a malfunction. Power supply Be sure the power plug is firmly connected at all times. Screw in place to be sure. If the unit is not going to be used for a prolonged period of time, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the unit power plug from the AC outlet. Do not allow any foreign objects to enter the unit! Allowing water, metal items, scraps of food or other foreign objects inside the unit may cause a fire and/or electric shocks. Installation Location This unit is designed for indoor use only. Install the unit on a sufficiently strong, stable and level surface for use. Ensure a space of at least 100 mm (4 inches) around the unit. While the won t run hot in general, keeping all sides of the unit free from obstructions is advisible. Do not install the unit in a manner in which its cables and other accessories can be easily damaged. Do not install the unit in a cold place where the temperatures will drop below 0 C (32 F) or in a hot place where the temperatures will rise above +50 C (122 F). Avoid installing the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or to the hot air that is blown out from other products. Installing the unit in a very humid, dusty or vibration-prone location may damage internal parts and cause rusting and corroding. 7
10 OPERATING PRECAUTIONS In addition to heeding the points presented in the Safety Instructions and Installation Precautions sections, the following precautions should also be observed to guarantee user safety and the longevity of the system. Handle with extreme care. Do not drop the product, or subject it to strong shock or vibration. Use the product in an ambient temperature of 0 C to +50 C (32 F to 122 F). Avoid using the product at a cold place below 0 C (32 F) or at a hot place above +50 C (122 F). Extremely low or high temperature will adversely affect the sensitive parts inside the unit. Avoid humidity and dust. Avoid using the product at a humid, dusty place, humidity and dust will cause damage to the parts inside the unit. When the product is to be discarded When the product is to be discarded at the end of its service life, ask a specialized contractor to dispose of it properly in order to protect the environment. Concerning the consumable parts Power adapter: This is a consumable part. As a general rule, replace it every 5 years or so (when the unit has been operated for 15 hours a day). The period when the consumable parts need to be replaced will differ depending on the operating conditions. Be absolutely sure to ask your dealer for replacement service. Maintenance Wipe the product using a dry cloth to remove stubborn dirt, dip a cloth into a diluted solution of kitchen detergent (neutral), wring it out well, and wipe the product gently. Then, after wiping the product with a moist cloth, wipe it again with a dry cloth. Avoid using benzene, paint thinners and other volatile fluids. If a chemical cleaning cloth is to be used, carefully read through the precautions for its use. 8
11 FRONT AND REAR PANELS SEL/ENTER Control: Rotate to scroll through onscreen options. Push to confirm. 2. LCD Screen: Two lines of data will be displayed here. Use the SEL/ENTER control to adjust. 3. INPUT Button: Push 10 to toggle 11 input between 13 SDI and HDMI in (LED indicates current input source). 4. VIDEO Button: Opens up the video transition menu. 5. AUDIO Button: Push to open up advanced audio options. 6. MENU Button: 7 Push 5 this 6 button 8 to access the s main menu. 7. LEVEL METER: This is a stereo audio level meter. Audio should sit around 0dB for best results. 8. SDI/HDMI Indicators: These LEDs will light up when the corresponding source is active DC IN: This BNC connector is for connection of the included power adapter. 10. TALLY Connector: Connect the Tally connector to your camera to send a tally signal when active. 11. SDI Output: This is the main program output. 12. WEBCAM: This USB-C connector was for connection of a Windows or Mac computer. The is recognized and works as a virtual webcam within applications that are compatible with such devices. 13. SDI INPUT/LOOP OUT: The IN 3G-SDI connector is for connection of an appropriate video source. The LOOP OUT can be connected to a suitable display or input device. 14. HDMI INPUT/LOOP OUT: These HDMI 1.1 connectors are appropriate for connection of suitable HDMI-enabled devices. The IN is for video sources and the LOOP OUT is for displays or other input devices. 15. RCA Inputs: These stereo RCA inputs are ideal for line-level audio inputs. 16. Mic Input: This mono Combo input connector is perfect for Microphones and accepts both XLR and ¼ phone jack connectors. 9
12 SETTINGS There are three main settings menus, accessed via the VIDEO, AUDIO and MENU buttons on the front of the. Settings can be viewed/adjusted on the LCD screen. Rotate the Set/Enter control to scroll through menus and push the control to confirm. VIDEO Push the VIDEO button to access the video transition options. Here you can adjust the Transition Time and Transition Type. After the transition time and type are set, using the INPUT button to transition between video sources will follow the rules set in the VIDEO menu. The transition time can be set between 0 and 9.99 seconds in 0.01 second increments. The offers 3 transition types: Cut, Mix and Fade. The selected transition will be utilized when switching between input sources. AUDIO Push the AUDIO button to access advanced audio options. Adjust the Level options for each applicable input (SDI, HDMI, XLR and LINE) and the main mix. The SDI and HDMI inputs also offer a Follow option that can be turned on and off. When either input is set to Follow, the audio for that input will be sent to the main program output when that input is selected. Embedding an input will send that source s audio to the main program. Adjust the final output level of your program. This will include any of the audio sources sent to your final program. The Main level can be adjusted between 0 and 100. The SDI and HDMI audio level, as taken from your video input sources, are controlled here. The audio level can be adjusted between -42 db and 4.5 db. The XLR and LINE inputs can be injected into the final production. The audio level can be adjusted between -42 db and 4.5 db. 10
13 The Embed Audio option allows users to permanently imbed HDMI or SDI audio into the program even when the video source is switched. When set to Follow, these video inputs will also have their audio content sent to the main program when the video is selected. Quite simply, the XLR and LINE mixes can have their levels adjusted. When set to db, the audio inputs will be muted. SETUP MENU Push the MENU button to access the few system settings of the. These include Device ID, Backlight, Recall, Tally and FW Upgrade. The Device ID comes in useful when using more than one on your computer. The will be recognized as Asystems Webcam xxx where xxx is your ID. There are three options for the s backlight: On, Off and Auto. When set to Auto, the backlight will turn off after 20 seconds of inactivity. Use the recall option to restore the to the factory default settings. Select Y to confirm recall of default settings. This option allows users to determine where to set the Tally feature to SDI or HDMI. When set to either SDI or HDMI, the tally signal will be active when their respective input is selected. The Firmware upgrade option can be used in the event that Asystems offers a firmware upgrade. When upgrading firmware, a USB-C flash drive with the new firmware needs to be used. 11
14 FIRMWARE UPGRADE 1. Download the firmware from and put it on an appropriate USB-C flash drive. 2. Press MENU, scroll down to FW Upgrade and push ENTER to confirm. 3. Available firmware files will be displayed on screen; use the SEL/ENTER control to scroll through firmware files and push ENTER to confirm. 4. Updating progress will be displayed on screen. Once the update is complete, the will revert back to the default screen. 5. If no firmware files are found, the will inform you as such. Push the SET/ENTER control to continue. 12
