4 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Cont... MAKE SURE THE TRANSFORMER IS CORRECT TO DC AND CORRECT POLARITY..Plug in transformer and turn on unit. LED s for HOLD / FLASH, TRAITS, PAGE and DIMMER are on. you are now in MANUAL MODE. MANUAL MODE Touch any (FIG.) CHANNEL - BUTTON the LED will light and that channel is turned on, the maximum output is displayed on (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY. You can touch (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH for 0.5 sec until LED for HOLD is lit. This will keep Channel LED s lit until you touch them again.. PROGRAM. PROGRAM. ASSIGN SCENE PROGRAM. DIMMER SETTING in MANUAL MODE The CODE setting must be entered to enter PROGRAM MODE and to cancel the code of a Chase. A. Touch (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND and (FIG 9.) RECORD at the same time. for 0.5 sec. LED s will light for these and for HOLD on (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH. B. Touch in sequence (FIG..), (FIG..) 9, (FIG..), (FIG..), all LED s will blink times and LED s on HOLD ASSIGN SCENE AND RECORD WILL REMAIN LIT. if correct code is entered. If a mistake was made the LED s will turn off and you need to repeat step A.. and B. The Memory capacity of this console is Chases With each Chase containing 999 steps. channels are available for each step. The total steps available are 0.. PROGRAM MAKE SURE (FIG ) DIMMER FADER IS SET TO MAXIMUM WHEN STARTING TO PRO- GRAM. A. Touch any (FIG..) - (Using (FIG.) PAGE / PAGE ) Corresponding LED s light and (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY read 0 indicating first step. B. Touch (FIG 9.) RECORD for 0.5 sec. All LED s will blink, you can then touch any (FIG.) CHANNEL - buttons for 0.5 sec corresponding LED will light up. Touching any lit channel button again will cause it to blink rapidly. At this point you can adjust the dimmer level for that channel. any other channels in this step will remain at full value or what ever level you set them at. To change display from 0-00% to touch and hold for 0.5 sec (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS and move (FIG ) DIMMER FADER. Continue until all Channels that you need for this step are on. 5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Cont.. PROGRAM Cont. At this point you can set the duration between this and the next step in the chase if you want to do this. Use (FIG.) FADER or touch (FIG 5.) REAL TIME /TAP SYNC, wait until the interval is what you want, then touch (FIG 5.) REAL TIME /TAP SYNC again. For most programs let the default setting of 0. be used. C. Touch (FIG 9.) RECORD for 0.5 sec. All LED s will blink, then Channel LED s will go out.this means the first step is memorized (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY shows 0, step LED is lit.step is ready to be programmed. D. If at any point during this programming you can touch (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / and go back to any step you wan to edit. E. When you are finished programming the chase, touch whatever (FIG..) - button you were programming until LED turns off. At this point you can touch another (FIG..) - button that you want to program. Repeat A,B,C,D until all S are completed you can now exit PROGRAM by again touching (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND and (FIG 9.) RECORD. INSERT AND DELETE S To insert a step while you are in PROGRAM mode Tap (FIG.) MANUEL / or (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / until you reach the step you want to insert an additional step after. Touch and hold (FIG.) PAGE / PAGE + (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS, while holding these buttons touch and hold (FIG.) MANUEL / for 0.5 sec. A new step is added and all following steps are bumped step i.e if add a step after #5 the old step # would become #7. To delete a step while in PROGRAM mode Tap (FIG.) MANUEL / or (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / until you reach the step you want delete. Touch and hold (FIG.) PAGE / PAGE + (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS, while holding these buttons touch and hold (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / for 0.5 sec. The (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY will read one less than the step # you deleted i.e if you deleted step #5 the (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY will now read 0 when you finish.. ASSIGN SCENE PROGRAM This is to assign any CHANNEL - to any other one or more CHANNEL -. A. While in PROGRAM MODE, to assign CHANNEL to CHANNEL -. Touch (FIG.) CHANNEL - until all LED s are on. B. Touch any Channel - again LED blinks rapidly adjust value with (FIG ) DIMMER FADER. Repeat with all Channels until desired effect is attained. C. Touch and hold (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND + (FIG.) CHANNEL for 0.5 sec, all LED s blink and then turn off which means CHANNEL has been ASSIGNED to CHANNELS to This is used primarily for midi control, but can be extremely useful,l because you can recall preset scenes on demand. 6 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Cont.. DIMMER SETTING IN MANUAL MODE To adjust DIMMING/VALUE of any channel in Manual mode. A. Enter PROGRAM mode, Touch any (FIG.) CHANNEL - when LED is on touch same channel again until LED starts to blink. You can now use (FIG ) DIMMER FADER to adjust output. Set as many CHANNELS as you want in this manner. B. Touch (FIG 9.) RECORD button for 0.5 sec until all LED s blink. This means output has been memorized... CODES The following are codes entered using the (FIG..) - buttons. ENTER PROGRAM MODE A. Touch (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND and (FIG 9.) RECORD at the same time. for 0.5 sec. LED s will light for these and for HOLD on (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH. B. Touch in sequence (FIG..), (FIG..) 9, (FIG..), (FIG..), all LED s will blink times and LED s on HOLD ASSIGN SCENE AND RECORD WILL REMAIN LIT. if correct code is entered. If a mistake was made the LED s will turn off and you need to repeat step A.. and B. DELETE CHASING PROGRAM A. Touch (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND and (FIG 9.) RECORD at the same time. for 0.5 sec. LED s will light for these and for HOLD on (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH. B. Touch in sequence (FIG..) 9, (FIG..), (FIG..) 5, then (FIG..) # you want to delete, all LED s will blink times and LED s will turn off. CLEAR ALL( PROGRAM/ASSIGN SCENE PROGRAM / CHANNEL OUTPUT. A. Touch (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND and (FIG 9.) RECORD at the same time. for 0.5 sec. LED s will light for these and for HOLD on (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH. B. Touch in sequence (FIG..) 9, (FIG..), (FIG..), (FIG..), all LED s will blink times and LED s will turn off. EVERYTHING MEMORIZED IN TP-DMXF WILL BE ERASED!. RECORD / Once you have programmed TP-DMXF you can run RECORD /. In MANUAL MODE touch (FIG 9.) RECORD for 0.5sec. LED is lit. If Chase LED of (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS is lit the unit is in mode. If SINGLE LED of (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / is lit, the unit is in SINGLE. You can touch (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / to select MIX Chase. In SINGLE mode, all selected chasing programs are run in the order you selected them. In MIX mode, all selected chasing programs are run at the same time. TP-DMXF Instructions page
7 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Cont.. RECORD / cont. There are ways to control the chase program.,.,. MANUAL.. control A. Set (FIG.) FADER to SHOW position > 0 min. The Chase will be controlled by what ever time was programmed in section. ( The default setting is 0. sec) B. Set (FIG.) FADER to any position up to 0 min The Chase will be controlled by what ever time selected, all steps will be the same duration. C. Tap (FIG 5.) REAL TIME /TAP SYNC times The Interval between the Taps controls the chase steps... control A. Touch (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS LED lights. Chase is controlled by bass beats of Music. Sensitivity is adjusted by (FIG.) FADER. If you have a line connected to EXT input built in MIC is disabled... MANUAL control A. Touch (FIG.) MANUEL / LED lights up and and LED s of (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS button turns off. Unit is in MANUAL control. Tap (FIG0.) SINGLE / MIX / to step thru program.. ASSIGN SCENE Once you have programmed TP-DMXF and it is in MANUAL mode A. Touch (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND for 0.5 sec. LED lights up indicating unit is in ASSIGN SCENE B. When you want to assign Channel to Channels -, touch (FIG.) CHANNEL, LED lights, (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY reads 0,Channels - LED s are on and their output is turned on. Touch (FIG.) CH - HOLD/FLASH until Hold LED is lit, then touch (FIG.) CHANNEL, LED remains on as does Channel - LEDs.They remain on until (FIG.) CHANNEL is touched again. 5. REAL TIME EDIT (USING (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND BUTTON) 5. EDIT OUTPUT LEVEL while using MODE Press (FIG.) ASSIGN SCENE /BLIND + touch the (FIG.) CHANNEL - button of the CHANNEL, you wish to adjust, twice. The LED will blink rapidly use (FIG ) DIMMER FADER to change the value. WHEN YOU EXIT FROM RECORD MODE EDIT IS CANCELED. BLACKOUT BLACK OUT (no output) is engaged by touching (FIG.) BLACK OUT LED blinks rapidly. To return to normal operation touch (FIG.) BLACK OUT until LED turns off. TP-DMXF Instructions page 7
8 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Cont. MIDI SETTING AND RUNNING MIDI SETTING Touch and hold (FIG..) 9, 0,,, while power is being turned on.,, LEDs blink rapidly and (FIG.) LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY READS AAA this means console is in MIDI mode.. MIDI SEND / MIDI RECEIVE Touch or the LEDs blinks and go out. MIDI channel is defined, as CHANNEL -,CHANNEL 7- is not assigned. Touch any CHANNEL -, LED lights then touch (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS, selected CHANNEL is memorized. Touch (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS once more to exit from MIDI and to return to MANUAL mode.. MIDI MEMORY DUMP. Touch, LED lights, and other turn off. touch once more to transmit memory information, when the LED blinks, transmission is done. Touch (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS the LEDs of,, light. Touch (FIG 7.) PERCENT TRAITS once more to exit from MIDI and to return to MANUAL mode. MIDI RUNNING. NOTE ON / NOTE OFF To receive note on / note off information touch (FIG.) CHANNEL - note on / note off information is sent with maximum speed. NOTE NUMBER CHANNEL - - Touch KEY to send PROGRAM CHANGE infor mation or to receive PROGRAM CHANGE information and to run.
