All of the twelve HYPEBOX are positioned in the hotspots of both stores, with the highest customer traffic. The HYPEBOX is an interactive showcase featuring a high resolution transparent LCDscreen. Available in several dimensions, products of different sizes can be staged inside the box while the screen displays digital content at the same time. Using standard files formats, you can easily create digital contents and animations to create unique effects, darkening the screen or making it transparent to reveal what is behind it. In September 2015, two new Saturn stores in Trier and Cologne (Germany) opened their doors directly in the city center. The goal was to have high visibility in the most famous shopping areas of each city. The unique Saturn concept stores exclusively present the latest and ever-changing electronic devices. In order to promote this special assortment of new technologies, both stores chose HYPEBOX from MMT. Equipped with 6 units in different sizes, each store showcase smartphones, laptops, headphones and drones of well-known brands. Each Saturn Connect Store is equipped with two 19 HYPEBOX, two 32 with Touch, one large 55 with Touch in landscape and one in portrait format. This showcase of small and large products is ideal, advertising the full range of sizes

7 Case Studies: Retail Case Studies: Retail PEDIGREE The transparent display of the 42 HYPEBOX installed in the window makes it possible for passers-by on Nürnberger Straße, Berlin, to see an exhibited shoe inside and at the same time capture a digital description of the sneaker. Because of its size and characteristics, the box can be positioned in any environment Customers of the EDEKA Center are not only able to see Pedigree products inside the box, but are also able to receive information about several products on the transparent screen. SOLEBOX ALL GONE To provide their customers with an excellent shopping experience, the company MARS used HYPEBOX as a unique presentation tool to display their brand, Pedigree. With the project Future Store, the goal is to show how products can be presented in more effective ways for customers. In this process, grocery stores should not only exhibit products on regular shelves, but also by using unique displays-solutions like the HYPEBOX. In collaboration with the EDEKA Center Berlin Moabit, MARS found the ideal platform for their project. The German grocery chain has a wide choice of products with outstanding quality. With the HYPEBOX smartly integrated in their shelves, Pedigree products capture the consumers attention. The HYPEBOX model installed in the Edeka store is a 21.5 horizontal model with touch function. In the 21.5 model, small and medium-sized products can be arranged perfectly inside the box. The transparent showcase illuminates the products in the most efficient way, acting as an incredible attention generator. In the recently renovated store in Berlin of the well-known premium sneaker brand Solebox, customers can meet a robot called Solebot. The robot automatically suggests to customers the desired shoe they are looking for. The concept of the futuristic industrial warehouse does not stop at the robot, where products are displayed on the front window in a striking way: HYPEBOX. Top brands such as Adidas, Nike, New Balance, are constantly increasing their product range, and can now demonstrate new models with elaborate animations. Especially in the evening, the box lights up with bright colors which captures the attention of the customers strolling by

8 Case Studies: Retail Case Studies: Retail NIKE STORE BERLIN MEDIA MARKT What makes it so special is the fact that the audience not only sees the exhibited products through the transparent display they can also retrieve important information on the touchscreen. The HYPEBOX is an ideal advertising platform that attracts attention and will remain in the customers memory. MediaMarkt utilizes a custom version of the 32 HYPEBOX Touch in portrait orientation. The inside of the box offers four removable glass shelves, which can be adjusted to suit particular presentation purposes. That gives exhibitors the possibility, to present and highlight individual products. NIKE Store Berlin uses two white 42 HYPE- BOXES 42 HYPEBOX in portrait in portrait format. This allows for easily customizable content to be relevant to the changing product inside. Such an easy-to-update solution makes it effortless to adapt for upcoming events and product launches. This gives NIKE not only the opportunity of a cohesive product presentation, but also attracts the attention of the customers. We use the HYPEBOX in several of our stores to give start-ups a platform to our customers. The technique allows us to blend physical products and prototypes with amazing content. With the reopening of their Retail stores in April 2017 in Eindoven, Netherlands, and Wilrijk, Belgium, MediaMarkt has set the mission to create a store that provides a unique shopping experience. In their Innovation lab, the electronics retailer shows five innovative products every month. To exhibit those products perfectly, MediaMarkt uses MMTs 32 HYPEBOX which offers companies extraordinary advertising possibilities. In their store, MediaMarkt demonstrates how products can be highlighted in the best possible way by using the HYPEBOX. The transparent showcase has been embedded into their shop perfectly and helps startups like Hugsy, Ato-Gear, KEIN, Adjuvo and even large companies like Google, to present their advanced products in the most compelling way

9 Case Studies: Museum Case Studies: Museum MUSEUM OF RUSSIAN IMPRESSIONISM DEUTSCHE BAHN The HYPEBOX can be used interactively by visitors via touch input. Information about the exhibited products can be called up via the transparent display. Deutsche Bahn installed three black 32 HYPEBOX, with touch functionality and in landscape format, in the Munich information centre. The special feature of these HYPEBOX is their triangular shape that the local designer integrated in a column. The entire structure resembles a work of art and fits perfectly into the ambience of the museum. After many years of restoration work, the Museum of Russian Impressionism opened its doors on May, The former chocolate factory was transformed from a run-down industrial site into a modern cultural center that is a part of the overall architectural concept of Moscow. It houses a permanent exhibition of more than 70 works of art, and shows famous Russian impressionist artists such as Konstantin Gorbatov, Igor Grabar, Valentin Serov, Stanislav Zhukovsky and many more. Immediately after the opening, more than 18,000 people visited the museum. In order to emphasize the modern museum, four custom HYPEBOX were used. Embedded in a column, the 27 boxes provide the perfect presentation for small products such as figures, brushes, spatulas or similar accessories. In the major project 2nd Munich Mainline, the Deutsche Bahn (an important railway company in Germany and abroad) is expanding its route network around the Munich railway station until At the beginning of September, the new information point in Marienhof opened its doors to visitors in conjunction with the expansion of the main route. The visitors center offers information about the large-scale project in a multimedia exhibition. Deutsche Bahn uses very special presentation tools to inform visitors about the project. A transparent OLED wall and three 32 HYPEBOX Touch units are used in the information center. With the use of HYPEBOX, Deutsche Bahn has opted for an exciting multimedia mix to present its major project, which attracts constant attention

10 Case Studies: Tradeshow Case Studies: Tradeshow CARRIER KÄLTETECHNIK EXPO INTERNATIONAL TRADE SHOW With an interactive solution such as HYPEBOX from MMT, visitors can navigate through the contents visible on the transparent touch display to review i.e. recipes and nutritional facts. EuroShop is the largest trade fair focused on the retail sector in Germany. Only a large unit such as the HYPEBOX 55 in portrait format could fit the large product presented at the exhibition. The animations in front of the product clearly explain complex technical specifications using text and images on the transparent screen. With the help of black and white video sequences, the content of the box is revealed when needed, creating a surprising effect. The international exhibition EXPO, with 21 million visitors in 2015, is one of the largest tradeshow worldwide. COOP, the leading supermarket chain in Italy, presented their concept idea called supermarket of the future. For this project, designed by the prestigious Italian architect Carlo Ratti, four HYPEBOX size 32 with touch function were used with internal acrylic shelves. The showcases were not only used as a presentation tool, but also as an effective source of information

16 FAQ Contact Frequently Asked Questions Contact Question: Can we use the transparent LCD Panel without the box? Transparent LCD technology requires a very strong backlight in order to be see-through and to correctly display images on screen. HYPEBOX, our transparent LCD showcase with optimized internal illumination, is the ideal solution specifically designed to overcome any technical limitation and achieve perfect results. Question: What does 15% Transparency / Transmittance mean? This value may cause confusion: 15% does not mean that the LCD is blocking 85% of the view. White color content makes the LCD look transparent, like glass, while other colors are fully visible and blocking the view (especially black). The transmittance offered by the HYPEBOX is the result of years of developments. It is the highest transparency available on the market. Question: Are units always in stock, ready for shipping? The bestseller models are usually in stock, please contact us to receive the current inventory list. If units should not be ready, the standard production time is 4 weeks (may depend on availability, sizes and quantities requested) before being ready for shipping. Question: Is it possible to change the size of the box? Yes, customers can request different sizes, considering the fact that custom units will require longer production times. Question: Can they be used in landscape as well as portrait mode? For technical reasons (internal light and reliability over time), a unit designed to be used in landscape orientation cannot be used in portrait mode and vice-versa. Question: Can we fit our own player inside the unit? The standard unit is provided with a media player / HDMI interface to connect any external player. For custom requests, it is possible to include an area to additional components such as a PC. Question: Is the display protected from the front? A high-quality protective glass is integrated in every unit with a touch sensor. Question: How does a dark product affect the lighting inside the box? The advanced backlight will provide the correct illumination to enhance the object details. Question: How are products packaged? HYPEBOX units are delivered in robust wooden crates. In addition to that, a shock sensor will show if the package suffered a strong hit during transportation. If needed, flightcases are also available. Question: How do we place and change products inside the box? The access panel is located on the back of the unit. You can manually open and completely remove it. For safety reasons, it is also possible to lock the panel with the keys provided. Question: Can you provide a larger size than 84? Currently, the 86 is the biggest transparent LCD on the market (98 was announced as well, but still under testing). For projects requiring a larger transparent area, we are able to combine several transparent LCD panels together.
