3 Professional construction clients and digital building information models The Danish Association of Construction Clients (DACC) is an interest group for professional construction clients in Denmark building and civil engineering private and public sector DACC has been active with respect to developments in digital building information models since 2003 when the first work group was established DACC has been emphasizing the need for value creation from client/owner/user perspective Seminar today inspiration from international best practice next practice Bygherreforeningen Borgergade 111 DK-1300 København K Telefon

4 10 years of digital developments in Denmark Strategy for improved productivity in the construction sector published by Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs (2000) The Digital Construction initiative is launched by Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs (2003) As part of Digital Construction a number of consortia develop standards and concepts for a digital construction process ( ) Industry interest groups initiates an Implementation Network in order to help disseminate standards and concepts from Digital Construction (2006) New legislation states that all government clients should adopt the standards and concepts from Digital Construction as requirements in procurement of buildings (2007) Bygherreforeningen Borgergade 111 DK-1300 København K Telefon
