2 Eco Step Dim Basic General information All WE-EF Eco Step Dim components are intended for professional users. Installation and start-up may only be performed by persons with the relevant technical knowledge. Please read these instructions carefully before installing and starting up the system. It is the only way to ensure safe and proper operations. Please keep these instructions on file, so they are available for later use if required. WE-EF is not liable for the incorrect connection and the improper use of its products. The reliable functioning of Eco Step Dim products requires that they have been programmed and started up accordingly. Safety information All works on the equipment may only be carried out after power to the equipment has been disconnected. The applicable safety and accident prevention provisions must be adhered to. The improper opening of the products is not permitted; there is danger to life due to electrical voltage. Repairs may only be performed by the manufacturer. The electronic ballast loses its zero-potential once the controller is connected to the control input. Adaptor and Software: WE-EF Eco Step Dim Basic requires an external switch phase. The switch phase may come from any source. A pre-programmed capacity level is turned on and off in the luminaire by connecting or disconnecting the control phase. When the control phase is turned off, the luminaire changes to dimming mode. The electronic controller can be updated without limitations, and the firmware can be adapted or re-imported as necessary. This requires a hand-held programming device and application software, which are not included in the delivery scope. 3 Eco Step Dim Basic Electronic Controller The electronic controller is already built into the luminaire by WE-EF, and is delivered ready-made in accordance with customer requirements (see Form Sheet in the Appendix). The dimming level can also be adjusted at a later time. The configuration of the connection line can be found in the illustrations below. The electronic controller is suited for installation in IP66 luminaires.
