3 STANDARDS CORPORATE LOGO STANDARDS The corporate logo standards provide guidelines for applying the Targa Resources corporate logo to publications, signage, stationery, the website, uniforms, and promotional materials.

6 THE LOGO INTRODUCTION Targa Resources, Inc. and all its operating entities are represented by one logo design. The logo functions as a single unit with unique characteristics and specifications. Any variation from the logo standards will reduce its effectiveness. The following pages describe the only configurations of the logo that we use. 1.1

7 THE LOGO Symbol Logotype TARGA LOGO ELEMENTS The Targa Resources, Inc. logo consists of two major components, the symbol and logotype, which form a distinct design. The logo must remain consistent in appearance and usage to guarantee its strength and effectiveness. This custom design must never be recreated, typeset, altered or manipulated in any way. Color The use of color helps with logo recognition and memorability. Strict adherence to the color specifications must be maintained. Any change to the color reduces impact and effective logo identification. Typography A major means of creating a unified appearance is through the use of typography. Type plays a dual role in the logo through its written communication and as a graphic element for visual communication. The proportional size between the symbol and logotype must not be altered. Following the exact specifications for logo usage will ensure all written communication remains uniform, achieves maximum legibility, and appears professional. Visibility Visibility is essential to the effectiveness of the logo and the logo must be displayed in a way that enhances its visual dominance. Foreign objects must remain distant to avoid obstructing the logo or appear to be part of the logo. 1.2

8 THE LOGO LOGO SPECIFICATIONS There is one logo design for Targa Resources, Inc. and all its operating entities. The logo functions as a single unit with unique characteristics and specifications. Any deviation from the logo standards will reduce its effectiveness. The two logo forms are horizontal and stacked. The logo must not be altered in any way, except for the alternate configurations below. Horizontal Logo The horizontal logo is standard for Targa Resources, Inc. in which the symbol is to the left of the word Targa. In the three-color version, the top half of the symbol is PMS 541 Blue, the bottom half is Black, the type within the circle graphic is PMS 186 Red, and the logotype is PMS 541 Blue. In the single-color version, all parts of the logo are black. Stacked Logo The stacked logo is composed of the symbol centered above the word Targa in logotype. In the three-color version, the top half of the symbol is PMS 541 Blue, the bottom half is Black, the type within the circle graphic is PMS 186 Red, and the logotype is PMS 541 Blue. In the single-color version, all parts of the logo are black. Reversed Logo The reversed logo may be horizontal or stacked in single-color format. 1.3

9 THE LOGO LEGAL ENTITY NAME - TYPOGRAPHY Specifications Typeface: Style: Point Size: Color: Bank Gothic All Caps Varies with application Black or PMS 541 Blue VISIBILITY The logo visibility is dependent upon its dominance over surrounding objects. To help ensure logo integrity and high visibility, a clear field measuring a minimum of 25% of the width of the Targa symbol or 50% of the height of the standard horizontal logo is to be maintained around the logo. This area must be kept free of all objects. Logo height of 1" requires clear field around it of 25% or 1/4" on all sides. Logo Height Clear Field Area Logo height of 1/2" requires clear field around it of 50% or 1/4" on all sides. Logo Height Proportional Sizing Maintaining the correct proportions of the logo is mandatory in order to sustain original design specifications. In order to size the logo proportionally in many PC applications, the user must hold the SHIFT key during the resizing process. Refer to the program s Operating Manual for the proper proportional re-sizing procedure. 1.4

10 THE LOGO COLOR SWATCHES Since the use of the logo is wide and varied, the Targa Red and Blue must be visually matched to ensure consistency. The three colors used in the Targa Resources, Inc. logo are: Red (PMS 186) For four-color printing, C0, M100, Y81, K4 is the formula that produces Targa Red. Blue (PMS 541) For four-color printing, C100, M70, Y0, K36 is the formula that produces Targa Blue. Black Other colors available for use include: Metallic Gold (PMS 873) Metallized Foil (815) LOGO ENGRAVING The Targa logo may be engraved on awards or other materials where appropriate. 1.5

These elements, used to communicate both formal and informal messages, are among the most widely used applications of the company s name and logo. 19 COLOR USAGE COLOR USAGE The Targa logo can be placed on any colored background as long as there is enough contrast. The full color version of the logo should not be used on any background screens that are greater than 20%. The logo can be totally reversed out to white in any background greater than 70%. 2.6

21 UNIFORMS UNIFORMS There is no standardized uniform color requirement. However, all uniforms must have a small company logo patch on the front, and large company logo patch on the back. Slides can be printed at a lower resolution.
