6 ADVC G3 2X SDI to HDMI Converter/Multiplexer with 3D Support The ADVC G3 is a full-featured HD/SD-SDI to HDMI converter with 3G technology and the latest HDMI connection support, designed to fulfill the demands of 3D monitoring and multiplexing. The ADVC G3 can be used as a standard HD/ SD-SDI to HDMI converter, but also features a second SDI input which can be used for left-eye/right-eye inputs. 8 ADVC G4 Sync Generator with Reference In (2) The ADVC G4 is more than just a compact and robust sync generator. While most competitive products have only six outputs and restrictions on SD and HD signals, the ADVC G4 has nine outputs that can be individually controlled in groups of three. For example, three outputs can be SD, the other six can be HD, or vice versa. 10 GeckoFlex From single- and multi-path signal-management functions to an Ethernet-based control solution for configuring and operating boards across racks and facilities, Grass Valley offers a full range of signalprocessing boards, whatever the application. A key component of our signal management product range is the GeckoFlex chassis, which is designed for production settings, mobile environments, and professional audio video applications. The GeckoFlex system is a flexible, cost-effective signal management system built around a compact robust 2 RU chassis. Unlike conventional systems, the reference inputs are still available on individual boards and reference circuits can be swapped out from the front of the chassis to service them. The distributed reference can accept bi-level, tri-level, and AES audio sync inputs and feed all boards requiring a similar reference saving on additional analog video distribution function, chassis, and the power dissipation associated with an old-fashioned reference system. Fiber Ready A unique feature of the GeckoFlex signal management platform is a fiber-ready system that enables upgrading of all SD/HD dual-rate boards to fiber inputs or outputs. These highly compact inputs and outputs, combined with our fiber-ready philosophy, makes these upgrades incredibly space-efficient: two fiber connections fit in the equivalent space of one BNC connector. Calculating Power Consumption To decide whether a particular set of modules will fit within a chassis that does not have fan cooling, simply add the rated power consumptions of the boards to be mounted in the chassis. These power values can be found on the latest versions of the module s data sheets. Please note that it is not necessary to include the power needed by the network board, fans or other assemblies, just the boards. If the total power required by these boards is less than the power rating of the chassis then it can support the application.
