INTRODUCTION Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing APOLO DC B, COINTRA with their modern design, state-of-the-art technology, great reliability and quality construction. APOLO DC B, heaters and all their materials and components have passed strict controls to ensure their quality. Before starting your heater, please read these instructions carefully as they will ensure the correct working order of the appliance features and for ease of use. 2. LOCATION The radiator should be fitted in the part of the room where the client wants it, depending on the space available, although preferably on or near outside walls, leaving enough space around the heater for correct hot air circulation and at least 100 mm, from curtains and furniture, etc. The distance should be the 100mm at least from the floor. 3 3. ELECTRIC CONNECTION The thermal radiator must connect to the mains (230V~ 50 Hz c.a.). In addition the following warnings must be taken into account: -The electric radiator should not be located underneath a light switch where you need to stretch over to reach.. 4. ASSEMBLY The thermal radiator shall be fixed to the wall by the adjustable brackets supplied with the device, using the cardboard template provided in the box. If for any reason cardboard template is missing you can follow the instructions below: 1. Make sure you keep your eye on where the lower hole on the wall is. Place screws in each of the brackets made by matching up the lower hole. Then mark upper holes of each support. 3. Drill the wall, place the plugs in, screw the housings and hang the radiator. 4. TURNING ON AND OFF 5.1 Control panel: It is composed of a large orange backlight this will go off after a few seconds if you need on any longer hit any other button, there are five other control keys on LCD screen: modes of operation Comfort: 7 30ºC Economy: Tª Comfort 3.5ºC Anti freeze: 7ºC Keyboard lock Heating indicator Daily and weekly programming Comfort Economy Anti freeze E Edit date, hour and program. Radiator (OFF) Selected temperature time M T W T F S S Days of the week Selection of temperatures, day and hour Selection of the mode of operation Turn on and off the radiator (ON/OFF) Edit and confirm date, time and programming 5.2 Turning on and off: Plug in to the grid (230 V - 50 Hz): 1. If this is the first time it has been plugged in or has gone more than four days off grid and also if reprogramming, you will have to edit the date and time again according to point. 5.4 of the manual. 2. If it has been disconnected for less than 4 days, it maintains the time and day of the week, even remembering the last selected temperatures and operating modes. Disconnection for a long time will mean reprogramming. Once plugged in for the radiator to start working you press the key ON/OFF, which appears on the display with temperature displayed. When you connect the display always appears with the last selected mode and temperature. 5.3 Modes of operation: By successively pressing the mode key the radiator is passed from one mode to another. COMFORT: In this mode you select the temperature desired between 7-30 C in steps of 0.5 C. The normal temperature of comfort is C. Comfort mode is used during the day. 3

ANTIFREEZE: In this mode temperature automatically is 7 c, and is often used in long holidays to avoid problems of freezing pipes.

5 ECONOMY: In this economy mode the programmed temperature is automatically selected at minus 3.5 C from comfort mode temperature. The economy mode is used during the night or if you are out for a short while. Avoiding heating up from low temperatures again. ANTIFREEZE: In this mode temperature automatically is 7 c, and is often used in long holidays to avoid problems of freezing pipes. PROGRAMMING: In this mode the radiator is automatically displaying the program made by the user according to their needs with the temperature they selected. The thermometer that appears in the display indicating that the radiator is warming, when the required temperature is achieved then the thermometer disappears from the display.when temperature in the area of radiator is reached the radiator automatically switches of and temperature symbol will not be seen. When temperature drops by 0.5 degrees celcius radiator will come back on and temp symbol is visible again. 5.4 Edit day, hour and programming:to re program hold down mode key and you must go through the setting of the day and time again. To edit the day, hour and programming press and hold the mode key until you see the clock icon in the display. First select the day of the week you are in (1 - Monday, 2-Tuesday,...) which is showing in the box using the keys + and. You press the OK key to confirm the day. It will then flash to show time selection. The digits will flash the hours and the AM or PM symbol at the left side. With the keys + and selects the time and confirm with the OK key. The minute digits will flash, with the keys + and select the time and confirm with the OK key. Then edit the daily and weekly programme, the PROG letters appear in the display. 4

To select the desired mode for that hour i.e.( Comfort Economy ----.Standby) You press the mode key to select mode required for each hour.

6 If at any time you want to leave the update you set hold down the mode key, the radiator returns to last selected operating mode. Programming begins the first day of the week (Monday No 1 will be flashing) and at 00.00(midnight) in the morning (AM), indicated both in this will also be flashing. To select the desired mode for that hour i.e.( Comfort Economy ----.Standby) You press the mode key to select mode required for each hour. At all times in the display it will also show the icon corresponding to the selected mode and corresponding temperature. To move from one hour to another use keys. + and -, the selected hour will flash that you are on moving forward through the day but if you make a mistake you can go backwards in hours by pressing again. When one day is done to move to the next day's program press OK key. If you want to copy a program from one day to the next, to confirm the program is the same press the OK button for 5 seconds after completing the full days hours.. When the last day 7 is reached, press OK to exit the programming. 5.5 Locking and unlocking of keyboard: To lock simultaneously press the keys + and - for 5 seconds. The display will show the lock icon. The un-lock is performed in the same way.
