This user's manual covers the installation of the DSR and the necesary steps to implement various features. This also explains special features available only in this DSR in detail, which will allow you to make full use of these feature. Information confirmed in this document is subject to change. These menus will help you get the most from your receiver, guiding you through installation, channel organizing, viewing and many other functions. All functions can be carried out using the buttons on the RCU, and some of the functions can also be carried out using the buttons on the front panel. The receiver is easy to use, always at your command and adaptable for future advances. Please be aware that new software may change the functionality of the receiver. If you experience any difficulties with the operation of your receiver, please consult the relevant section of this manual, including the trouble Shooting, or alternatively call your dealer or a customer service adviser. 6

11 Main Menu Make sure that you have properly installed and connected the cables of the receiver. If the receiver is the factory status or there is no program list, when power on, the Main Menu window will be displayed on the screen. During the normal TV/Radio mode, press MENU key on the RCU to enter into the Main Menu window. This menu consists of 6 major main function as following. -Channels -Dish Setup -System Setup -IPTV -Network -Entertainment Use the CH+, CH-key to move upwards and downwards from one line to another line and use VOL+, VOL-keys to move from main menu to sub menu and move from left side to right side or versa. Meantime, you want to escape the menu system, please press MENU or EXIT key on the RCU. 10

16 How To Edit Channels Channel 1. Press menu on RCU and go to Channel from main menu. 2. Select Edit TV from the list choose your channels to edit. 3. After select the channels the 4 options will show on the bottom of list (RED/Move, Green/Delete, Yellow/Lock, and Blue/Rename) to edit the selected channels. 15

17 How To Edit Channels Channel 4. Press RED to move the channel after press the RED an arrow will show on selected channel to move. 5. Press Green to delete after press it the sign (X) will show on selected channels to delete. 6. Press Yellow to lock the channels with password, after select this option the selected channels needs password to watch it, to add password please go to Parental Guide. 16

18 How To Edit Channels Channel 7. Press Blue to rename the channel, select the channels and press Blue button and edit the channel name. 17

19 How To Upgrade The Software By USB Disk Entertainment 1. Add the new software on USB Disk and connect the USB Disk to the USB Port. 2. Go to Menu and select Entertainment. 3. Select Software from the list and press ok to enter to USB files. 18

Press OK on the S/W file a message will show (Upgrade Software or Database?) select YES to start. 6. After Select the update file the update process will start, Make sure the electricity power will not Shutdown during update process period. 19

21 How To Use The Backup Function Channel 1. Attach USB disk to USB Port. 2. Press menu on remote control and go to Channel. 3. Select Load/Save Default Data from the list as below. 20

23 How To Use Restore Function Channel 1. Attach a USB Disk to USB port with saved backup file on USB. 2. Press menu on RCU and go to Channel then select Load/Save Default Data. 3. Select Load User Data from the list then a message will show (All Channels and Settings will Be Loaded?) press left or right and select YES. 22

25 How to Change Screen Resolution System Setup 1. Press menu on RCU and go to System Setup. 2. Select OSD Setup from the list as below. 3. Choose your screen resolution from Display Mode. 24

26 How to Use BiSS Function Dish Setup 1. Go to Menu Dish Setup 2. Select Patch Menu from the list and press OK 3. Press Left or right (V+/-) on RCU to select between Biss and other encrypt. 25

27 How to Use BiSS Function Dish Setup 4. Press RED to Add new BiSS Key or press Green to Edit current BiSS Key, Press Yellow to delete BiSS Key, Press Blue to rename the Provider name of BiSS Key. 26

28 How To Connect To Wi-Fi Network Network 1. Make sure you attached the USB Wi-Fi to USB Port. 2. Press menu on RCU then go to Network and select Wi-Fi as below image. 3. Select your Wi-Fi network from the networks list and press OK on it to enter data. 27

29 How To Connect To Wi-Fi Network Network 4. Enter your Wi-Fi password and press Blue button (OK) to confirm. 5. Wait for 10 seconds to establish the connection then a confirm message will show. 28

30 How to Use Online Update Network 1. Make sure the USB Wi-Fi attached with the USB port of receiver. 2. Press menu and go to network to check IP Settings & Wi-Fi to confirm active of internet. 3. Go to menu Network and select Online Software Update press OK on (Connect Net). 29

31 How to Use Online Update Network 4. After successful connection to our server the new software list will show as below. 5. Select the software on the list and press OK on (Update) to start download process. 6. The download bar will display, after download finished the message following message will show (Update Software or Database?), select UPDATE to start update process. 7. Important during update process DO NOT power off or shutdown the electricity. 30

32 How to Use Internet TV IPTV 1. Make sure the USB Wi-Fi attached with the USB prot of receiver. 2. Press menu and go to network to check IP Settings & Wi-Fi to confirm active of internet. 3. Go to menu and select IPTV, you needs to wait 5 seconds to active your IPTV channels list. 31

34 Problem Possible causes What to do The display on the front panel does not light up. No sound or picture, but the front panel shows red light. Main cable is not connected. The receiver is in standby mode. Check that the main cable is plugged into the power socket. Press the standby button. No sound or picture. Bad picture / blocking error. The satellite dish is not pointing at the satellite. No signal or weak signal. The satellite dish is not pointing at the satellite. Signal is too strong. Satellite dish is too small. LNB noise factor too high. The LNB is faulty. Adjust the dish. Check the signal level in the Antenna Setup menu. Check the cable connections, LNB and other equipment connected between the LNB and the receiver, or adjust the dish. Adjust the dish. Connect a signal attenuator to the LNB input. Change to a larger dish. Change to an LNB with lower noise factor. Change the LNB. The picture is not showed on the screen, when switching on. The system is connected by RF leads. Check the UHF channel fixed in your system and tune the UHF channel properly. There is interference on your digital satellite channels, an existing terrestrial channel or video signal. The system is connected by RF leads and the output channel of the receiver interferes with an existing terrestrial channels or Video signal. Change the receiver output channel to a more suitable channel, or connect the system by SCART leads. The RCU is not working. Battery exhausted. RCU is incorrectly aimed. Change the batteries. Aim RCU at the receiver, or check that nothing blocks the front panel. Note: If you have tried all of the actions suggested above, without solving the problem, please contact your dealer or service provider. 33
