An existing network or an ad-hoc WiFi connection can be used to very conveniently define and program the system functions. No special software is required. The new wireless modules can be used to extend an existing wired ABB-free@home system by up to 64 wireless components. This requires the installation of a new system access point. You can also access your smart home remotely and securely via the myabb Living Space online portal. Connecting the ABB-free@home and ABB-Welcome apps to the myabb Living Space online portal makes controlling the system even more convenient. The app no longer needs your home internet connection it can also be used while you re out via your smartphone or tablet. You can make quick checks to see whether all of the lights are switched off, for example, or adjust the heating to a comfortable temperature before you step through the door. Perfect combination with the ABB-Welcome door communication system The combination of ABB-free@home and in ABB-Welcome now offers even greater convenience and security. They are linked by the ABB-free@homeTouch. The multiple-award-winning door communication system is particularly impressive for its holistic concept, spanning many different areas of application and setting a new bar for technology and design. Modern two-wire technology makes it easy to install and intuitive to use. Thanks to the status module that has recently been integrated into the system, ABB-Welcome now meets DIN requirements for barrier-free construction. The new component, which can be integrated into an audio or video outdoor station, a letterbox system or a panel on the side of the door, signals to visitors with impaired hearing using blue or red backlit symbols, informing them when they are being asked to speak, whether the door is open, whether the doorbell is being rung and even whether there is no one available. You can thus supplement an integrated ABB-Welcome camera with alternative or additional viewing angles. A maximum of four camera interfaces can be connected to the system. One camera interface can process signals from up to 1 analogue cameras. What s more, the camera interface includes an analogue video output and thus provides the option of transmitting the recorded signal to external devices (e.g. DVR or TV systems). The new, remarkably compact ABB-free@homeTouch 4.3 has an installation height of only 8 mm. As an alternative, you can use the tried-and-tested ABB-free@homeTouch 7 to control your smart home system. The system access point is at the core of the ABB-free@home system and allows computers, tablets or smartphones to access the system using your home internet connection. The weather station is new to the ABB-free@home system, allowing you to visualise data via the ABB-free@home web interface and the ABB-free@home app.
