2 The Cosmos2 enables image recording of patients who are standing, seated or recumbent.

3 The Universal X-ray System The Cosmos2 enables imaging of standing and seated patients and, with the optional patient positioning table, even recumbent patients. The wide range of adjustments means no other X-ray system is needed. The X-ray system is the economical solution for a private practice or an optimal second work space in a hospital. With the addition of the optional patient bench, a universal workspace is available that can also be used in a tight space. Despite its compact design, the system is enough to provide the highest precision imaging. 3

4 Simple Patient Positioning Thanks to Flexible Adjustment Options The device s flexible adjustment options facilitate positioning the patient. The ergonomic handles make it possible to move and rotate the device safely with only one hand. All movements are electromagnetically braked with the exception of the tilting of the Bucky carriage, which engages at 0. The Cosmos2 is fully counterweighted and the roll guides make it especially smooth-running and quiet. With the expanded vertical lift, the Cosmos2 can take images of a standing patient from the head to knees. The vertical lift with horizontal beam path ranges from 42 to 163 cm relative to the middle of the cassette. The rotating arm can pivot continuously from 135 to -35. In addition, the Bucky carriage can be tilted over a ±45 range. The adjustment of the film focus distance is motorised and any distance desired can be selected.

6 Attractive Features The Cosmos2 is mounted Excellent Image Quality The PAUSCH front plate is characterised by low ray absorption. The use of both analogue and digital receiver systems is possible and optionally convertible. Bucky carriages from all well-known manufacturers can be incorporated. Stable Design Cosmos2 s particularly stable construction enables high centring precision. This reduces the need for repeated X-rays with an additional radiation load for the patient. Centring Errors Impossible Despite the extensive adjustment options, the X-ray tubes and the Bucky carriage always remain centred. This permanent centring of the tube on the middle of the Bucky carriage guarantees swift and error-free work. Optional Patient Positioning Table In conjunction with the optional patient positioning table, the Cosmos2 offers the advantages of a Bucky table. The patient positioning table can be moved around freely thanks to the smooth-running rollers and can be locked for recording images. The tabletop plate is particularly radiolucent. An overlay mat can be supplied as an accessory. The patient positioning table can also be used for various purposes, e.g. as an ECG or casting table.
