5 Message from our 2016 President The Mountaineer Chapter is looking forward to making 2016 a great year with exceptional Technical Training, Professional Development, Networking and Fun! In 2015, the Chapter went through a few changes, such as, the retirement of Bobbie Ford, electing new members to the Board, and a few changes to the current Board Members roles. With so many changes comes a learning curve and I believe we have overcome the hurdle to bring the Chapter into 2016 with great expectations. We have added to our Social Media accounts with a new Facebook page and can be followed on twitter These are great tools to interact with others in our Chapter, get informed on what s latest, and encourage others to join! This Quarterly Newsletter provides highlights of some the events from 2015 and those that are coming up this year in If there is a particular Webinar or Seminar that you would like to see or have presented, please reach out to a board member. Let s talk! We are interested in what our members want to learn to progress in the Telecommunications Industry. 6 Bobbie Ford wins the Steve Adkins Certificate of Appreciation Each year the Steve Adkins Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to a non-board member for outstanding support and lasting contribution to the continued growth and improvement of the West Virginia Mountaineer Chapter of the SCTE. The recipient receives a framed certificate as well as a gift certificate. In 2015 Bobbie Ford was the winner. Bobbie had formerly been the Treasurer of the West Virginia Mountaineer Chapter of the SCTE for many years and was pivotal in it s success. In addition to her Treasurer duties, she was always willing to take on additional roles to make sure all seminars, shows, games, outings, meetings and etc. ocurred as scheduled and with no issues. Bobbie s attention to detail as well as her desire to stay ahead had her, and the Chapter, well prepared. She also kept the Board well informed so we could complete all of our tasks. We congratulate Bobbie on her win and look forward to crowning a new winner in 2016!
