1 U.S.- Innovation Survey of Expert Opinion IC Design Topline Results U.S.- Innovation Survey of Expert Opinion IC Design 2013 May-June Topline Results Methodological notes: All results shown are percentages. Due to rounding, percentages may not total %. The topline total columns show %, because they are based on unrounded numbers. Questions asking respondents about a country other than their own (i.e., questions asking respondents from the U.S. sample about Chinese IC design teams) were optional. Results therefore do not include the full sample and are considered less statistically valid. Sample design was purposive sampling of IC design experts, selecting respondents from a near-comprehensive list of IC design firms in the and primarily based on job title. Some Chinese respondents came from Chinese IC design industry conferences. The 2013 IC design survey was administered from May 7 to June 7 through a web-based survey distributed via invitations. Additional paper questionnaires were administered at Chinese IC design industry conferences in October
