4 1. Outline SVO-03 U&P Hardware specifications This book is hardware specifications of the board "SVO-03 U&P" for inputting a HDMI image and changing into USB3.0 or a parallel signal. "SVO-03 U&P" is formerly the stand-alone version of a board "SVO-03", and can perform the image output to image taking in to PC, or other boards without a complicated setup. The change of a switch on a board performs a setup of a video image format. "SVO-03 U&P" has the two modes according to a function. In UVC output mode, since USB Video Class (UVC) which is standards of USB is supported, an image can be downloaded without a driver to PC regardless of OS or software. Moreover, it is 1920x1080 by high-speed transmission of USB3.0. The image of not compressing to 60FPS is supported. In parallel output mode, the parallel video signal format often used is supported. If parallel output mode is used, development of graphic processing equipment with a parallel signal input etc. can be performed smoothly The function of SVO-03 U&P Conversion of HDMI -> USB3.0 (UVC) HDMI -> Conversion of a parallel signal. 5 2. The operation method of SVO-03 U&P 2.1. When making it operate as UVC output mode 1. Set up a DIP switch beforehand according to a video image format. DIP SW Setup 1 (invalid) 2 ON: The color bar for a test is outputted. OFF: HDMI An image is outputted. 3 (invalid) 4 YUV In the case of a format ON: YUY2 OFF: UYVY It outputs in a pixel format. RGB In a format, set to OFF. 5 RGB/YUV is changed. ON: RGB format (RGB24) OFF: YUV format (YUV 4:2:2) 6 Resolution is set up. ON: 1280x720 OFF: 1920x A frame rate is set up. ON: 30 FPS OFF: 60 FPS 8 Set to ON. * When resolution and a frame rate differ from this setup, a setup from the HDMI output device side may be required. * When a setup is changed, a USB connector needs to be re-connected. * RGB24 In the case of an output, it does not correspond to 1080p/60FPS on a transmission rate. 2. Use USB 3.0 cable and it is host PC and SVO-03. A board is connected. 3. "SVO-03" is recognized by PC as a imaging device. Simultaneously, initialization of devices, such as a HDMI receiver and FPGA, is performed on a board. 4. Connect PC, a recorder, etc. using a device and a HDMI cable with a HDMI output. * The HDMI output needs to be supporting the resolution of 720p or 1080p. 5. From PC, start UVC capture software and start image taking in. * "NVCap" of CD attachment can use it as UVC picture capture software for Windows. Please refer to the software manual of NVCap for directions for use separately. 2

6 2.2. When making it operate as parallel output mode 1. Set up a DIP switch beforehand according to a video image format. SW Setup 1 Bit width setup: Refer to following table. 2 ON: RGB Input compulsion mode YUV HDMI which is not corresponded to an output When connecting with a device and a color space cannot set up normally, this SW may be solved by turning ON. OFF: It is usually the mode. 3 Bit width setup: Refer to following table. 4 YUV 8bit In the case of the mode, it is as follows. ON: OFF: YUY2 Form UYVY Form RGB In the case of the mode, set to OFF. Connect the cable to a target to a target connection connector. 3. Use USB 3.0 cable and it is host PC and SVO-03. A board is connected. 4. Connect PC, a recorder, etc. using a device and a HDMI cable with a HDMI output. 5. It is outputted in the format for which the image from HDMI was set to the target connection connector with a DIP switch in this stage. * The details of an output format are 5. Please refer to a chapter. * The HDMI output needs to be supporting the resolution of 720p or 1080p. * Before connection with a target, it is VDDL (output IO voltage level). Please check suiting the level of a connection place. * A setup of the resolution which cannot be set up depending on an output pixel format, and a frame rate exists. CN1: Sub power connector SVO-03 U&P Hardware specifications It is a power connector for using it, when power supply capacity cannot be filled with USB bus electric supply, or when not supplying electric power via a USB bus. Correspondence of the signal in this board is shown with a pin number common to SV series, and a signal name in the following table. RV1, RV2: VDDH, volume for VDDL adjustment SVO-03 It is the volume for adjustment of the power supply for the exteriors generated on a board. It can adjust in 1.6V-4.2V. It is connected to translator IC and VDDL sets up the level of a parallel image output signal. On the other hand, VDDH is SVO-03 only by being outputted to the connector. It is not used inside a board. All can be used as a power supply of an external device SW1: Push switch Under the present circumstances, the function which a user can use is not assigned. 9

13 4.9. SW2: DIP switch It opts for operational mode, a pixel format, etc. according to the state of SW2 at the time of the power supply input of SVO-03. Although the function is fundamentally assigned as follows, refer to the explanation of Chapter 2 for the details of the DIP switch function in each mode. It blinks during firmware operation. 2 It is LED by which the silk notation was carried out with "VSYNC". The V-Sync synchronized signal of an output is turned on and off to a target with the cycle which carried out the circumference for 3 minutes. When an output picture is 30fps, it is 5 in 1 second. Time blink is repeated When FPGA is outputting the UVC frame to FX3, FV synchronized signal is carried out ON/OFF with the cycle which carried out the circumference for 3 minutes. 8 The light is switched on when the stored picture is loaded to the frame memory for a target output. 15 6. Dimensional drawing It is SVO-03 below. The dimensional drawing of a board is published. With the actual board, the 10-mm portion to VCUT is not contained in a upper end and each lower end, but, as for the size of the lengthwise direction, other SV series has become the same [mm]. 12
