19 3M Self-Strip and Quick-Connect Frames SELF-STRIP FRAMES SS3 and SS6 Frames These frames are designed for use with 3M Cabinets 4220F and 4220/4230G Series. The frames are shipped complete with self-strip blocks premounted on the frames with a cm (48") wire harness factoryterminated with a 3M MS 2 Module 4005-GBM or 3M Connector 710SC. All frames have a cross-connect capacity for 600-pair and are available in either 300- or 600-pair configurations. Spacer blocks are provided for empty spaces. 34 3M EXPANSION CABINETS Telcos need to provision additional feeder/distribution lines to accommodate serving-area-density-growth, along with the critical initiative of DSL deployment. Each of the four products comes without SS3 FX frames and are being offered in almond or green. Doors are 4" longer than standard K cabinet doors accomodating 1800 pairs: 6 SS3 FX frames empty frames or loaded with 4320 self-strip blocks. The resulting, renovated cabinet will be 68.75" in overall height, versus, 64.75" of the standard K cabinet. The 4220F2KF, 4220G2K and 4230G2K expansion cabinets expand existing 4220F/G, 4230G and 4220GSP cabinets without replacing the installed cabinet. The essential base, frames and vertical ends are left in place, without timeconsuming replacement. New extensions are added to existing verticals, frame extensions are added to the existing SS6 frames, and new doors are installed. Additionally, the cap is reused. New back panels are installed on F cabinets. The kits are designed for expansion to 5400 pairs.
