2 INTRODUCTION TO literibbon The new LED LiteRibbon is the simplest color correct lighting product available. Years in the making, just 3 simple components make this minimal light source created exclusively for cinema and tv production. At its core, the new LED emitters are a design breakthrough. We have created a beautiful, full spectrum, white light that renders skin-tones and colors to their natural state. emitters are fully color-correct and blend freely with legacy tungsten and fluorescent units as well as modern high-end LED fixtures from Arri, Mole Richardson and others. emitters are the first LEDs to bring high CRI, full spectrum, color-correct white light to what we call low-output LED products. Typically reserved for high wattage and high cost LED fixtures, the new line brings color-correct white light into the affordable range. literibbon the simplest tv & cinema lighting product available LiteRibbon is made of color-correct, genuine emitters mounted to a white backing material that is flexible, cuttable and adhesive backed. emitters have been specifically formulated to render skin-tones beautifully. Their wide-angle output, combined with their ultra-low power consumption allows for precise control of daylight or tungsten balanced light in previously impossible areas of the set or prop or wardrobe project. Digital cinema cameras are finally living up to their promise of using less light without loss of image quality. Therefore, precise low output control of beautiful white light is more important that ever. Tungsten and Daylite is full-spectrum color-correct light with a 120º output at only 0.16 watts each!

3 01 02 LITERIBBON VARIATIONS literibbon THE BUILDING BLOCKS FOR YOUR NEXT GREAT IDEA. Genuine LiteRibbon is the only color-correct, Daylite or Tungsten balanced ribbon available AND 60 LiteRibbon is available in two densities. 120 has LEDs mounted on 8mm pitch, or 120 LEDs per meter. Since the new digital cameras require less light, we designed 60 to be a full F-stop less than 120 with LEDs on 16mm pitch or 60 LEDs per meter. This choice allows you to select the proper amount of light without affecting light quality. Both 120 and 60 are cuttable at designated locations. (See last page for details) 02. vho pro X1 AND X6 LiteRibbon is available in 2 widths. X1 features a single row of emitters while X6 features six rows. Both are available in 120 and 60 density at 8mm and 16mm pitch, respectively. As an example, 120-X1 includes 120 emitters per meter in a single row. 120-X6 features six rows of LEDs on the same 8mm pitch resulting in 6 times the amount of light in the same length. X1 is available in lengths up to 5 meters. X6 is available in single units that include 180 emitters total. Both X1 and X6 are available in Tungsten, Daylite, and Hybrid. 4 COLOR CORRECT literibbon IT S NOT HOW BRIGHT IT IS IT S HOW BRIGHT IT ISN T. 01. tungsten Tungsten provides an incandescent-like color that appears warm to the eye and to the camera. Performing at 3200º K and 95 CRI, Tungsten is named for the metallic element that has been commonly associated with incandescent lighting. It beautifully mixes with legacy tungsten and halogen light sources but dims without Kelvin temperature shift. (duct shown is 120-X1) 02. vho pro daylite Daylite provides mid-day, sun-like hues that can be used to boost available daylight without the use of filters. Performing at 6000º K and 95 CRI, Daylite is named for the industry term used for other color-correct technologies like fluorescent and HMI. It has more in common with these other technologies than its name. Daylite has been designed to match color and spectrum making it easy to openly mix light sources and lighting technologies. (duct shown is 120-X1) 03. vho pro hybrid Hybrid provides all the benefits of Tungsten and Daylite along with the range of Kelvin temperatures between 3200ºK and 6000ºK. This obvious advantage allows your LiteRibbon package or kit to always provide the required white-balance without the need for filters. When used with our LiteDimmer Hybrid, you get granular control of Kelvin temperature along with master brightness and with its low-mode, it is possible to achieve ultra-precise low-light level control. 5 PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS 01. BUILD-IT-YOURSELF FIXTURES LiteRibbon is a product with hundreds of uses. One of these is custom lighting flat panel fixtures. LiteRibbon can be assembled in an array on a thin, lightweight panel of nearly any shape or size. You can then use it as a hand-held fill or flood in a tight spot. Or you could wrap LiteRibbon around a tube and place it inside a pole-mounted, battery operated chinese lantern to create an airy, super soft light that will reproduce beautiful skin tones over the full dimmable range. Use Hybrid and you now add adjustable Kelvin temperature too. Combine LiteRibbon LED products with our best-in-class LiteDimmer controls, and it is your next great idea waiting to happen. Image: Feature Film - The Master 02. AUTOMOBILE INTERIOR Perhaps LiteRibbon s most appealing use is within the interior of a vehicle. It is here that nearly all of its advantages are fully realized. Flexibility allows it to conform to irregular shapes. Cut-ability allows just the right amount of light in just the right location of the vehicle. Dimmability lets you easily finetune the output especially during magic-hour when the available light is rapidly changing. PRACTICAL LOCATION When shooting at a practical location, LiteRibbon has many uses and advantages over traditional lighting gear. Due to its light-weight, miniature size and adhesive backing, LiteRibbon is the most lowimpact form of lighting available. Capable of being installed under kitchen cabinets and powered by a LiteDimmer and a small battery placed inside the cabinet, the home owner will never know you were there. Whether boosting daylight or creating a subtle under-cabinet glow at night, you are sure to have as much (or as little) controllable, low-impact, color-correct light as needed. 6 01 02 LEGENDARY WORLD CLASS DIMMING FLICKER-FREE LITEDIMMER 01. Litedimmer single The LiteDimmer line of LED controls starts with LiteDimmer Single. Designed exclusively for use on film, TV and HD Video sets, LiteDimmer Single takes the one-thing-well approach to LED dimming. It features an ultra-smooth dimming range using our patent-pending flicker-free circuit. Its connectivity is also quite simple. Using a 2.1mm barrel input, LiteDimmer Single features our own custom-made panel mounted barrel output connector. The interface includes a rotary knob that controls the dimming level. This knob has a hide-away feature that prevents accidental level changes and assists in storage. It also features a three mode switch that allows for manual cueing as well as a low-mode that reduces the output by 2 F-Stops allowing fine control of low output levels. Finally, its housing is made of extruded, black anodized aluminum with rubber bumpers that eliminate damage to sensitive surfaces. 02. LITEDIMMER hybrid LiteDimmer Hybrid is a manually controlled, flicker-free LED dimmer. Designed exclusively for use on film, TV and HD Video sets, it offers control of Kelvin temperature along with brightness when used with Hybrid LiteRibbon. Like its little brother, LiteDimmer Single, it features an ultra-smooth dimming range using our patent-pending flicker-free circuit. Including a 2.1mm barrel input connector, and HyConn output connector, LiteDimmer Hybrid s interface has 2 knobs, one for Kelvin, one for brightness. These knobs include a hide-away feature that prevents accidental level changes and assists in storage. It also features a three mode switch that provides on/off cueing along with several advanced modes. The LiteDimmer Hybrid is housed in an extruded, black anodized aluminum case with rubber bumpers that eliminate damage to sensitive surfaces.
