2 CADILLAC FALL 2013 STYLE GUIDELINES FONTS Filosofia Uncase OT (track 70) use as dominant headline type in conjunction with Interstate Regular FILOSOFIA Interstate Regular (track 30) use for headline type, subhead type, and CTA INTERSTATE REGULAR Interstate Light (track 0) use for bullet/body copy Interstate Light HEADLINE TREATMENT 14 pt. Interstate Regular 24 pt. leading 24 pt. Filosofia EXAMPLE: accentuated line should be just a hair less than double the size of the smaller line leading should be same point size as accentuated headlines type size headline should never be left justified or right justified (top line should be shifted left, bottom line should be shifted right)
3 CADILLAC FALL 2013 STYLE GUIDELINES TYPE TREATMENT Headlines and subheads should always be upper case, body copy and bullets should be sentence case. Headline should always be broken into two parts. The emphasized part should be larger and in the Filosofia font. The secondary part should beiinterstate Regular. When possible use bullets for body copy. Body copy should be no less than 10 pt. type. All copy should be 100% black. Headline should never be left justified or right justified (top line should be shifted left, bottom line should be shifted right) General Motors. All rights reserved. Cadillac CTS. 4 CADILLAC FALL 2013 STYLE GUIDELINES LOGO USAGE When using the logo in ad-like objects, the logo should be used without the wreath. When logo appears standing alone, it must include the wreath logo on its own (keep the wreath) logo in ad-like object (lose the wreath)
5 CADILLAC FALL 2013 STYLE GUIDELINES LOGO PLACEMENT When placing the logo over part of an image, there are two ways it should line up depending on the orientation of the page. Cadillac CTS. spreads/horizontal layouts: bisect the logo, aligning the image with the horizontal center line single-page/vertical layouts: align image with logo as shown, letting 3/4 of the logo hang off the image

CADILLAC FALL 2013 STYLE GUIDELINES CADILLAC SCRIPT The Cadillac script should always be locked to the bottom of the page, and slightly cropped. The cropping of the bottom of the script should leave just a sliver of the script connecting each letter. On single-page ads, both the left and right sides of the script will be cropped as shown below. On spreads, only the right side of the script gets cropped. The script is allowed to fall on top of imagery, but may not overlap the logo or other type. the crop should let all letters connect except for both Cs the crop should leave just a sliver of the letters connecting

Image box should sit just above center on vertical layouts, and just below center on horizontal layouts, and centered horizontally with a little breathing room on each side. Headline should sit above image, subhead and body copy should sit below. Logo should always be fixed to the bottom right of the image.
