7 About SAV SAV s roots started to take form in 2004 as a fast-paced dynamic systems integration firm named Studio AV, when entrepreneur and owner Cory Reistad had a vision A vision to create the best audio video environments possible. Having begun his career in the field as a technician-owner in 1999, Cory has since built a team of unique, creative and innovative individuals over the years who not only exemplify technique and design, but also understand the importance of unyielding client service. The result is a 60+ member team spread throughout Bozeman & Big Sky, MT as well as Jackson, WY. As technologies and partnerships progressed, so did the company s name. We re not fully buttoned up, but we don t have our flies down either, therefore when referring to SAV, be serious but not too serious, and be sure to sound a little techie in your wording. 10 Branding Logos, typography, brand colors, etc Brand Guidelines» 10 «
11 x x x x x Logo This valuable asset below is used to identify our company, products and technologies to the world. Consistent application of the logo type reinforces brand recognition and trust. For these reasons, we always display the logo type as specified in this document. When you re using the SAV logo, make sure you give it breathing room to optimize its visual impact. The clear space around the logo should be at least 1x, which is equal to the overall height of the logo type. To ensure the logo maintains its visual impact, do not go any smaller than 36 pixels tall (which is 1/2 inch). Closely related to the Fibonacci Sequence, there is a common mathematical ratio found in nature that can be used to create pleasing, natural looking compositions. This is called the Golden Ratio {also known as the Golden Mean, Golden Section or the Greek letter phi.}. The Golde Ratio describes the perfectly symmetrical relationship between two proportions, approximately equal to a 1:1.61 ratio, and the SAV logo is composed within this ratio Brand Guidelines» 11 «
12 Type {brand font} SAV Digital Environments uses Open Sans as the brand font, specifically Open Sans Light, Semibold and Bold. Other weights are approved, but when using any form of italic or heavy, please for specific use-case approvals. When Open Sans is unavailable, you can use universally accepted Helvetica Neue as a backup. Do not use serif fonts, script fonts or any other font that you would consider fancy. SAV is a technology driven integration firm that s modern and sophisticated and we do not want fonts to deter or distract from the brand. Type {logo fonts} The SAV logo mark are individual glyphs within the Mayo Dingbats font. Digital Environments is in Steelfish Bold. Do not use either of these fonts outside of the logo. These fonts are modern, bold and techie, and only meant to be used within the logo {never as a brand font such as in body text}. 13 Colors When the SAV logo appears on a white background, use our primary, authorized colors. When it appears on a black background, reverse the word mark to white while still retaining the primary orange SAV mark. Monochrome & Solids Though our primary colored logo is preferred, it is ok to use our solid monochrome versions, ie. black or white, when special circumstances exist. Once a 50% color shade variation is reached, reverse the logo to the alternate variation. Solid logos are only used in unique scenarios that demand and benefit from such stylization. Permission for use is required at all times. 14 Imagery When placing our2 color logo on an image, in most cases always apply a 30% black tint to the entire image to maintain logo legibility, depending on the image. For example, if it s a night time photo, applying a 30% black tint would make it extremely dark, so maybe reduce the tint to 20% or so. Your best judgement shall prevail with legibility of the SAV logo being top priority. If the image cannot be tinted that much, you can use our white monochrome logo with a 20 30% black tint over the image. If the image cannot be tinted at all, with permission you can use our watermarked logo in the corner which is either the white or black monochrome logo with a 20% transparency applied to it, so that means the logo would be at 80% oppacity, giving it subtle branding. 30% tint 20% tint 2018 Brand Guidelines» 14 «
