1 Share Your Past with the Future! Find Locate Your Memories: Locating your traditional photos, slides, negatives, and albums is the first step on your journey into the digital revolution. It s time to clear out the closets, dig through the attic, rummage through the old shoeboxes, and get in touch with family members to track down your past. Organize Prepare Your Memories: Organization is optional, but helps make that special shot easy to find when using your scanned images. Most clients sort their valuables into groups, and label each group by year or event. Each scan will be named according to it s respective group, and each group will be conveniently contained in it s own file forlder on your completed disks. When organizing loose photos we recommend placing each group of photos in a manilla envelope and labelling the envelope with your desired group name. When grouping slides we recommend rubber-banding your slides into stacks and labeling each group by placing a post it, or small piece of paper, with the group name between the rubber band and stack of slides. For negatives it s easiest to place each group, or sheet of negatives, in a standard envelope and label the outside of the envelope. Photo albums are best labeled with a post it note on the cover. Remember, grouping is optional. You can always copy your scans to your computer and re-organize them to your hearts content once made digital. Ship Package & Ship Your Memories: Correct packaging, and a secure carrier, are the key to safely transporting your valuables for processing. To finalize your order simply complete the order form that follows, and include it in the box with your valuables. Place the shipping label, found on the next page, on your package and ship everything to the address on the label. Once we ve safely received your package you ll receive an notification and we ll begin processing your order. Packaging & Shipping Tips: 1. Use a sturdy box, never a padded envelope. 2. Wrap your valuables in bubble wrap and pack them tightly. 3. Securely fasten the shipping label found on the next page to your box. 3. Use a carrier that can provide insurance during transit, a tracking number, and a signature for delivery. We ll do the same when shipping back to you. 4.
