SAFETY INSTRUCTION Read manual carefully before use Do not open the case and touch internal components for safety and warranty Pull out power plug in case of long time standby.do not use faulty power plug or power supply to avoid fire or electric shock. Do not touch power supply with wet hands Handle with care when pulling out power plug, no touch with the wire No flammable or liquid allowed into device Do not install device in hot area or strong sunshine or dusty place. Shock-proof is a must Room with good ventilation is required Keep original packing material for future possible transportation 2. SYSTEM DIAGRAM AND WORK PRINCIPLE 2.1 SYSTEM DIAGRAM QAM Modulator consists of following modules: Data process unit converts all inputs signal into standard signal and process.these data will be further processed by QAM modulation. QAM Modulation unit modulates the TS into spectrum signal. RF modulation up-converts the IF into 87~870MHz TV channels. CPU/LCD/LED/ is for controlling the equipment and input order to equipment.

3 2.2 WORKING PRINCIPLE QAM is compliant with DVB-C standard. Device convert QAM signal to mpeg-2 TS, then can be processed by QAM modulation. It includes technology such as convolution, RS correction.after IF process, the output will be RF 87~870MHz which can be transmitted in HFC or MMDS network. USER OPERATION 6.1 KEY Right, left key: move cursor Up, down key: modify parameters Enter (ENTER): save and confirm Exit (Exit): return or cancel modification. 10 8 NMS OPERATION User can set the parameters via NMS on computer Connect QAM to PC via RJ 45 cable 1 Click add freq node to build a frequency node 2 Then click add device to add a device. Here please select QAM modulator 3. Name the equipment and input IP address(default is ), then click ok 4. After connection, you can set all parameter in software the same as front panel settings The NMS menu as below: Input data Multiplexer menu
