4 Seeing frames differently Frames The frames Crystal Vision s interface, keying and picture storage products are individual 100mm x 266mm modules that need to be housed in rack frames and require rear modules to access the various inputs and outputs. So why are our frames different? We can offer four different sizes, adapting to you whether you want to buy one board or a hundred of them! Holding 2 boards, our mighty U frames help us win those large installations where cost is the deciding factor. The 2U frames can take 12 boards and remain our most popular size. Where space and cost are at a premium the Indigo 1 frames are ideal, taking up a mere 1U of rack space for up to six boards with the 1-DP range available for those wanting power supply redundancy. Finally, the desk top boxes are suitable for non-rack mounted installations requiring a maximum of two modules. You can put anything in them. Mix any boards from our range video, audio, analogue, digital,,, or optics. They offer a host of practical including optional redundant power supplies, an exceptional cooling system, sophisticated status monitoring and excellent connection to systems. The four CoolFlow frames, with their extra fans and enhanced heat distribution, are perfect for housing the more functionality-packed modules. They offer three levels of, with a passive front panel for board edge operation, an active front panel for remote or Statesman operation, and a passive front panel fitted with Statesman CPU for PC only. Frames with an E in their names allow full Ethernet connection to the Statesman PC software. Whether you need to chroma key or linear key, we have a product to suit your application (and budget) perfectly. An integral part of our modular system, these 100mm x 266mm modules fit in the standard frames and allow easy integration with any interface or picture storage products while saving you rack space. Used by broadcasters throughout the world, not only are the Safires the easiest chroma keyers to operate, their exceptional real-time chroma keying and unique for sports graphics makes them suitable for a wide variety of live applications news, weather, sports programming, chat shows, current affairs, game shows, election broadcasts or drama. Being able to fit so many linear keyers in 2U makes the Ls ideal for multi-layer and multi- applications. Safire Chroma keyers 9.5 Watts Safire is an exceptional real-time digital chroma keyer for any bluescreen or greenscreen application. Simple to set up and use (it can be autoconfigured just by pointing a cursor at a representative area of backdrop), it also includes a range of processing tools for those that want to tweak the picture numerous fine adjustments for optimised edges, sophisticated shadow processing, key shrink and internal and external masks. It has the ability to work with reflective and transparent objects, can linear key, mix and wipe, and includes special for the easy insertion of graphics on to sporting surfaces. The up/down/cross converters combine the remarkable quality of motion adaptive video de-interlacing with four group embedded audio handling, aspect ratio conversion, integrated connectivity and data insertion and reading and can even create constant and co-timed HD and copies of a signal simultaneously. The Q-Down short-delay down converters offer a unique level of image quality in their price range, combining their exceptional broadcast down conversion with distribution, delay, aspect ratio conversion, on-board and four group audio options with Q-Down even available in a minibox for those with no spare rack space. Designed to provide the answer to customers individual needs they offer varying numbers of inputs, outputs and loop-through options along with the choice of BNCs, D-Types and easywire D 1612 connectors. The single and double slot rear modules can be used with all four frame sizes, while the quad slot just fit the 2U and U frames. Each rear module has a selection of labels suitable for different products. 35 Seeing differently PC software PC software Statesman PC Control System which allows and status monitoring of Crystal Vision s remote-enabled boards from any PC on a network via Ethernet. Now at version, it is ideal for any level of, from a handful of simple boards to complex large installations. Statesman Lite Free lighter version of Statesman PC Control System, which allows board options to be selected during installation, inputs present to be viewed, and the chosen settings to be saved to a PC. Does not include Statesman s advanced such as alarm generation on a fault state. SNMP SNMP monitoring and is available for Crystal Vision frames and remoteenabled boards. Able to work with any SNMP manager. For SNMP monitoring, the agent can either report the status or generate traps on a status change of any board in the frame. SNMP traps can be used to trigger alarms. For, the manager can read and change the value of settings on any board in the frame. Using SNMP requires a frame running Linux, upgraded front panel software and appropriate MIBs. MultiLogo Control Software Free software shipped with the MultiLogo logo keyer which runs on the graphics computer and allows easy board and files conversion. Perfect for setting up keying applications in advance and very easy to use. Includes Image Converter program for conversion of different graphic formats to MultiLogo s native file format. A simpler, cut-down version of the software is shipped with the Clip N Key clip and sting store.
