1 Have you ever read at the park? Read in the bathtub? Read in a tent? The 2017 Summer Reading Happy Camper Bingo Challenge may be perfect for you! The Tyrone Elementary Reading Team invites all students (currently in PreK to 4th Grade) to participate in this years challenge. How It Works: 2017 SUMMER READING BINGO 1. Check out the each of the attached monthly bingo boards. You will need to complete one for each month of the summer June, July & August. 2. Set a reading goal at the beginning of each month. It is highly recommended that children of all ages read at least 20 minutes per day. 3. Decide which activities you would like to try each month. You can either play the traditional Bingo version (5 in a row diagonal, horizontal, vertical) or you can play the Blackout version (you pick any 10 activities from the gameboard). 4. Each time you complete an activity, complete the reading log on the reverse side indicating completion. Have a supervising adult sign the log each time an activity is completed. 5. On the game board, color or highlight the completed square to keep track of your BINGO progress. 5. Return the completed BINGO packet to your new classroom teacher when you return to school in the fall. 6. All students who turn in completed BINGO sheets (for all 3 months) will be eligible for prizes and be invited to our special summer reading celebration in September. Bingo = 5 in a row (diagonal, horizontal, ver cal) Blackout = choose any 10 ac vi es
