1 Biography Bottle and ipad Presentation Final Project DUE: December 12 th It is time for our first book report. You will be creating a biography bottle and an ipad First, you will need to read a biography. You may find one in the school library, at the public library, use one you already own, access one in MackinVIA, or purchase one. Try to make sure the book you choose is one at or around your reading level. You will need the following supplies: A 2-liter bottle for the body of your famous person art supplies (markers, paint, glue, yarn, fabric, construction paper, etc.) to create a likeness of the person you have researched In order to create your likeness you will need to follow these steps 1 st you need to use a round object to create a head on top of your bottle. 2 nd you must dress your bottle to look as if it were the person you read about including facial details, hair, glasses, clothing, or anything your famous person was known for. Finally, you will need to provide important information about your famous person in an ipad Presentation to the class. Use the bullets below to guide your research. *You may share more information if you wish. Birth date and birthplace Early life, before becoming famous Education received Occupation(s) The most notable thing the person was famous for in American History / How has the world benefited from him or her Date & location of death What are some other facts we should know about him/her? Why did you choose this person? Timeline of life/experiences You should use an app (or multiple apps) that you have on your ipad to create a presentation sharing your information with the class. Examples of possible apps might be Book Creator, imovie, Timeline, or Explain Everything. Feel free to be creative and use other apps not listed. Attached is the rubric I will be using to score your presentation and bottle project.
2 Options for Biography Book Report Project It may be difficult to find a biography on all of these historical figures. We generated this list of people from the time of the explorers, colonies, Revolutionary War, presidents, and other historical figures from that time frame based on our history curriculum and would like project choices to be focused on early American history. If there is someone not on this list that you are interested in, please approve your choice with your teacher prior to starting your project. Please choose a book that is Christopher Columbus Juan Ponce de Leon Amerigo Vespucci John Cabot Jacques Cartier Henry Hudson Samuel de Champlain Pocahantas John Smith John White Daniel Boone George Washington Thomas Jefferson Samuel Adams Abigail Adams King George III William Bradford John Hancock Andrew Hamilton Alexander Hamilton John Quincy Adams Patrick Henry Paul Revere Benjamin Franklin Henry Knox Crispus Attucks Thomas Paine Francis Hopkins James Madison Susan B.
