6 ADULT Summer 2018 Adult Summer Reading Program June 1 to July 31 Register at the Information Desk. For each book you read, fill out an entry form. (Audiobooks and ebooks count as well) Please only count each book once, duplicate titles will not be counted. Only books will be counted towards the total, no magazines, comics or graphic novels. 4 drawings for $20 Book Gift Cards: June 15, 29, July 13, 27 Grand Prize Drawing for 2 Gift Baskets. Summer Reading Program Win a fun Gift Basket For every 5 items checked out receive an entry into a drawing for a special Gift Basket. Bring your Check Out Receipt to the Information Desk. Winner will be drawn at the Harry Potter Birthday, Pizza and Prize Party on July 31. Summer Reading Program Root Beer Float Day Monday June 4 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM Enjoy a Frosty Root Beer Float While supplies last. We can help with that. From our webpage, click on the books tab and select Need a Recommendation. This will take you to a form to fill out your likes and dislikes. We will then send you a list of suggested authors and titles. Not online? Stop by and pick up a paper copy. Please allow 1 (one) week for your recommendations. Harry Potter Birthday Party And Pizza and Prize Party July 31, 6:00 PM Celebrate Harry Potter s Birthday and the end of the Summer Reading Program with a party! 8 Current Summer 2018 You can request items from other libraries using your library card. How? Who do I see? Can I do it online? The Canal Fulton Public Library is a member of SEO (Serving Every Ohioan), which supports a consor um of 93 Library systems across Ohio. We share an online catalog with access to more than 8 million books and other library materials. If the item is not available in our catalog, we can request the item through Interlibrary Loan outside of our system. A free service of the Canal Fulton Public Library. We Help With ebooks and Technology! In addi on to lending out books, magazines, CD s, DVD s and so on, your library provides a variety of electronic materials for free download. Have you tried downloading materials yet? If you re not sure how to get started, stop by the library s Informa on desk. Or you can Book A Tech! You can spend up to an hour with our library IT staff member to go over any ques ons you have with your mobile devices (ipad, smartphones, cameras, tablets, laptop), or get help with Microso Office programs. The Friends of the Library extends a BIG thank you for making the Pizza Showdown 2018 a success. The winner was Carla s Pizza! Also, a big thank you for the volunteers who made it happen, now you know about organized chaos. James Deans, Friends of the Canal Fulton Public Library Cultural Corner CFPL Board meetings are held in the library, usually on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. Since there are occasional changes, it is best to con irm the time and date by calling the library at All meetings are open to the public. The next meeting is June 13th at 7:00 p.m. Summer Reading at the Canal Fulton Public Library: June 1 July 31, Olde Canal Days : July 12 July 14, Madison is a 2018 Northwest High School graduate, she has worked at the library for over two years! Mission Statement The Canal Fulton Public Library serves the educational, cultural, and social needs of our communities by providing access to materials, information, technology, and services. The CFPL Current is published monthly except June/July for the Summer Reading Newsletter, by the Canal Fulton Public Library. A free copy of the CFPL Current may be picked up at the Canal Fulton Public Library and select community outlets. An electronic version of the CFPL Current may be found at the library s website: The Canal Fulton Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th for Independence Day. Thursday, July 12 & Friday July 13th at 5:00; July 14th all day for Canal Days but we are always open online, so you can download e books, do research, or renew your materials. No library materials checked out from the Canal Fulton Public Library are due on any day that the library is closed. 8
