We all know Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, but who is the actress who plays her? Jennifer was a real tomboy growing up. When she was in preschool, she wasn't allowed to play with the other girls because she was "too rough." As a child, she liked sports and she played hockey and basketball for an all-boys team, but she also worked as a model. As a young person, she wanted to be a surgeon, but at the age of 14, she knew she wanted to be an actress. She went to New York City to look for work, although she had never had any acting classes. She appeared in advertisements for MTV and the fashion company H&M and got work as an actress on TV. Her family moved to Los Angeles so that Jennifer could work on TV and in films. She was nominated for many awards, including an Oscar for F A C T F I L E her role in the filmwinter s Bone (2010). In 2012 she starred in the film The Hunger Games, a film based on the book trilogy of the Name: Jennifer Shrader same name. The film became one of the highest-grossing movies ever and instantly propelled her to the A-list among young Lawrence actors/actresses.
