1 Bank of Baroda (Head Office, Mandvi Baroda) INVITATION FOR TENDER Bank of Baroda invites sealed tenders in two bid systems for supply and installation of Mobile Mechanical Compactor Type Storage System at CENTRAL PENSION PROCESSING CENTRE (CPPC), HEAD OFFICE, BARODA, GUJARAT. The details & description of work along with tender documents may be down loaded from the Bank's website ( or can be obtained from the office of Chief Manager (Office Administration) Bank of Baroda, 6 th Floor, Suraj Plaza I, Sayajigunj, Baroda during working hours on any working day. The sealed tenders will be submitted in separate covers marked as "Technical Bid" & Financial Bid" super scribing advertisement reference and applicant's name & address be put in one sealed cover, addressed & submitted to the Chief Manager (Office Administration) Bank of Baroda, 6 th Floor, Suraj Plaza I, Sayajigunj, Baroda on or before 24/04/2010 up to hrs. No indication as to price aspect be mentioned in "Technical Bid, which will be opened on 27/04/2010 at hrs. Those who are interested to remain at the time of opening of tender may remain present. The system shall be with chain and sprocket drive mechanism central locking on the last unit with individual bay and end stopper for last movable unit on the tracks. BODY: Body to be made of prime quality Pre-coated sheet of 0.8mm. Thick with protective film DFT of pre-coating is approx microns. Material should be confirmed to IS The body should be multi bended & weld less BASE FRAME: The Base frames are to be fabricated in `C' Channel from 2mm thick & 3.15mm. HR Sheet confirmed to IS 2062/1079 to form a channel of size 45mmx 120mm x45mm GUIDE RAIL:- The guide rails to be made of 32x16mm bright flat housed in a `c' channel made of 2mm thick HR sheet confirmed to IS 2062/1079. It must have flanges on either side with ball bearing for free movement of compactor bodies. Guide rail to be provided with stopper to stop derailment of unit & fitted in ground by grouting bolt. DRIVE MECHANISM: - The drive mechanism working on chain & sprocket system and special grade antifriction bearing to have smooth and effortless movement. 1) Each mobile unit to have 4 nos. /6nos. of MS wheels. A pair of ball bearing 6203zz should be press fitted in the each wheel for free rotation. 5

6 2) The drive mechanism to comprise of sprocket chain type arrangement. 3) The chain used must be of high quality material. 4) The drive mechanism to be provided on the external front side of the compactor system. 5) The drive mechanism must be concealed from all sides. ANTI TILT & ANTI SKEW MECHANISM: Each Mobile unit shall be provided with anti-tilt & anti-skew mechanism to prevent the unit from toppling. DRIVING WHEEL & SAFETY LOCK:- High quality Round PU handle with three arms & a Folding PVC molded holding bar for easy drive. The Safety lock to have spring loaded knob type which is situated under the handle for easy locking at any position. Drive cover to be made of 1mm thick CRCA prime quality steel and of box type to cover the entire drive mechanism completely. SUPER STRUCTURE: Super structure of the compactor storage systems should be made in Knock down type in Precoated sheet of 0.8mm thick confirmed to IS with protective film DFT of pre-coating of approx microns. Each component of the compactor such as shelves, front panel, end panel, vertical & rear panel, centre partition etc, shall act as an integral part of the unit as a whole. SHELVES: Shelves to be in 10 fold for better strength & load bearing capacity designed to carry a U D L of 70kgs. It shall made of prime quality Pre-coated sheet of 0.8mm. Thick with protective film confirmed to IS Each body has 5-compartments with 4-adjustable shelves. Shelves adjustment should be at 40mm. pitch VERTICAL PANLES: vertical panel consist of the front, center and rear panel shall be made up of 0.8mm thick Pre-Coated prime quality steel confirmed to IS CENTER PANLES: The center partition shall comprise of full 0.8mm thick Pre-Coated CRCA sheet. CENTRAL LOCKING: - The system must be provided with locking on the last unit in such a way as to ensure that when all the units are brought together and the lock is operated, it does not allow access to the units. Protective rubber/pvc buttons are provided in between bodies to avoid any chance of damage, scratches & to avoid collision AISLE SPACE Aisle space inside of units should be approx. 760mm. 6

7 INDEXING ARRANGEMENT: Index slot to be provided on each front panel of the compactor unit for easy identification and retrieval. ANTI RUST TREATMENT: - Anti- Rust Treatment has to given to all Non Pre-coated Steel. Pre-treatment should be done on 7-steps anti-corrosion process like decreasing, pickling, passivation & phosphating before caring out powder coating. Powder coating DFT should be microns. TOTAL (A) 2 Specification for Folders for keeping the Files/ Papers in Bays: Scope of Quote Supply & Installation of Folders in Bays of Compactor Type Storage System to keep the Files/ Papers. Specifications: Made up of Krafted Papers with Interlinking Channels Provision for Indexing Folders are to be protected with Cloth Lining Load bearing capacity of the Folders should be approx. 3 kgs TOTAL (B) ESTIMATED TOTAL COST (A+B) REMARKS: (A) Warranty and after Sale service: Warranty for the period of 12 months from the date of installation should be given by the supplier for any material defects and functioning of Mechanical Compactor. 04 quarterly FREE services to be provided during the Warranty period. (B) Release of Payments: I. Payment will be released only after certified by the Bank s approved/ empanelled Architect/ Engineer about the material supplied as per the specifications quoted. II.
